Also, I find it interesting that on this particular morning she had tests and not class. Did she go in at a different time than normal? If she did, then whoever took her knew that too. Makes it more plausible that it was someone stalking her IMO.

Recalling my college days, normally a class' test would start at the same time as the class.

Why wait until day 5 to search a body of water so close to the house, I wonder...it's not like they were short on searchers...
ita and wonder

could it have come from a recent tip since the presser?

  • #124
If she is in the water close to home, I would be doubtful about there being a guy in camo...

Exactly!!! I agree with that 100%
Id take a poly right away if i had nothing to hide.

Im not saying the brother did anything to her but how do u rule him out if he was the last person with her and the last person to see her!!!!
AFAIK you cant rule anyone out unless they were in china lol

JMO

i dont understand why they were so quick to rule them out in the first place??

Good point - or it wasn't part of his routine to be home at that time of the morning. I also remember from another thread that Holly didn't have the same routine every morning, such as some days she went in earlier or later than this day, so that would mean the perp not only knew the family routine but hers, which varied. MOO

Which wouldn't be unusual for a college student. My son for example has classes on Monday from 10-12 and then not until Thursday from 10-12 and 2-4 & 6-8.

This changes every quarter (or semester) as the student signs up for different classes offered that quarter (or semester..). If the perp did know her schedule and was lying in wait then it is someone that has had contact since whenever the last quarter change was at that college. My son just started his new quarter two weeks ago.

it's possible he did something to her and then tossed her in the pond and hen took off.

The pond/lake behind her house

This could be true. A neighbor heard her scream so she may be close to home.

My stomach is sick.

That was my first thought. Plus the fact that suddenly no one is ruled out anymore...

Unless anyone has personal knowledge of whether they all lived together, it has not been released as a fact in this case. For whatever reason though, the brother was there that morning. I believe they all lived there, but have no way of knowing absolutely that they do and it hasn't been released as such.

Sorry for quoting my own thread but wanted to add that I've located University of Tennessee at Martin's academic calendar. They are on semesters. <whoops incorrect> Holly would have been taking final exams for her spring semester.</whoops incorrect> I should have said Holly would be in the middle of a semester. Assuming the Parson's branch which Holly attended followed the same schedule as the main university.

OK, this bothers me too. The brother saw the suspect going into the woods. Camo masks your outline to begin with and how far away exactly was he to be able to determine his weight and height? I myself wouldn't be able to give a determination based on this.

wouldn't be so hard to determine with his sister standing next to the guy

IMO a father with any scruples would not text or call a relative to tell them what is going on in an investigation. If he did, shame on him. Double shame on whoever puts it on FB. Maybe he is just trying to get attention ;(

It happened in the Maynard case here in Ohio. One of the father's told another relative some inside update and it showed up on FB. Welcome to the new world of social media, eh?
