They should be using a private lab for any DNA testing. I had to have one done for my son and it was one that was more complicated then most, 4 people had to be tested all family members (grandma, Grandpa, uncle and himself) to compare to his because his father was murdered in AZ when he was 5...anyhow that only took 7 days for me to get the results back.

That even sounds long in a case like this but it is better then months...

Not Saying this is the case: But what if Holly knows she is going to be killed, she may be leaving behind clues so if they don't find her they will find her killer.

Denise Amber Lee left a ring in the car she was abducted in, she never took off that ring. I think that was her way of leaving behind clues so they would find the perp in case she was killed & sadly she was. :(

i take the duct tape (if it turns out to be related to this case) as a good sign! it means (IMO) the person is keeping her alive & wanted to transport her- not just kill her.

I hope you are right.

There was also a case of someone pulling out their own hair and stuffing it between the seats of the back of the car. I don't remember which case it was.

Does anyone know?32

they should be able to get prints off that duct tape.
But what if this perp has no prints on file?

Ultimately its still good evidence. Even with no prints on file, when they catch this guy and his prints match the prints on the tape... Evidence doesn't have to be used to catch someone per se, but can be used to link someone to a crime for prosecution.

In the Denise Amber Lee case she stuffed her wedding ring into the seat, and I think hid the broken parts of her cell phone in the back of the car she was in.

Hi iluvmua, Im from North Port florida where amber lee lived that was the most horrific case i had ever heard. Nothing at all was done right the system let thislgirl down. They sure had enuff clues and 911 calls ,,,that girl should not be dead.

the mass confusion & mis-information on this case reminds me soooo much of the Morgan Harrington case. I'll never forget when LE on Morgans case said she was wearing a Panera (as in the bread) shirt, when she was wearing a Pantera (as in the band) shirt. omg *facepalm*

Omg... If it weren't under such sad circumstances, this would be hilarious.

Really, you would hope LE departments have some younger folks working on these cases, to sift through the cultural, social, and tech stuff that's involved. I mean... It's an understatement to say that the Panera crowd is pretty different than the Pantera crowd, lol.

Morning all... Hoping today is the day Holly comes home. Hoping that despite the odds she is staying strong! :praying:

I know, Denise's 911 calls were chilling to listen to.

Oh, how I wish she would have never left with this guy.

They need to pass Denise's Law in every state.

Myself I do not understand the "go quietly and you wont be hurt" mentality. From what I have seen it doesn't work (or work often enough to be effective). Holly wasn't alone at home so a scream would have alerted her brother. Right there the attackers plans would have gone south fast and he may not have had a chance to do anything further but run off. I suppose people do act differently in different situations. But we teach little kids to scream and make a fuss if someone tries to grab them. It isn't a criticism of what any one in particular does or doesn't do. Just an observation. I think I would like to take my chances in my own front yard. I was assaulted in my own house and oddly remember some of a huge struggle, but I do not remember screaming or yelling. I do remember talking. Weird.

Here thisis where her neighbors are!

http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?msa=...247,0.032787&z=16&iwloc=0004a0e4116221f893719

it shows her three neighbors. the rest is wilderness! and retention ponds.

If it is true that a neighbor heard her scream, then...
-- the perp had brought her closer to the neighbors homes, because Holly's house is a distance away and there is a lot of surrounding bush so I don't know how close she'd have to be for the neighbors to actually hear a scream. (On my farm, my neighbors to the north were a similar distance and one would have to make a real blood-curdling scream from their house in order for me to hear it.)
-- maybe the perp did have a car on the road and the neighbor heard the scream when he transferred Holly into the car.
-- maybe the perp was walking with her behind/beside the neighbors houses and she screamed to alert someone and he shut her up (hand or cloth over mouth)
Just My Opinion.

You could test that fairly easily by having a smallish woman in the woods scream and see how it sounded at the house. Lets say it was a quarter of a mile. You could make a quarter mile radius of the neighbors house and look for evidence.
