Im not sure how much I would read into the exact words used here. Since it seems like a lot of sloppy statements have been put out in the last few days anyway. I would not take a particualr word or tone too literally yet.

I heard that too. (RE: Mayberry theme) I thought.. how insulting to play that when he was speaking. Things just get stranger and stranger.
I think it was someone's cell phone!!! ooopsie!

http://tnmap.state.tn.us/sor/

Tennessee Bureau of Investigations shows 6 registered sex offenders within 5 miles of the zip code (38328). One is particularly close to the park they are focusing on. I am hating the fact that they have not located her yet. This is so sad. =(

That was disheartening. 5 days have passed and they are still very much in the dark, still desperate for one solid lead. Hopefully DNA provides the break they need but the perp's DNA is going to have to be in their database so they can get a match.

One thing I've learned from these cases is that even extensive searches don't usually find bodies, if the victim is unfortunately deceased.

I hated hearing him say that out loud but I have suspected they think she is dead since they asked locals about someone cleaning their car. We all know that her chances of being found alive decrease significantly every day she is missing, but I still pray that she is part of the minority found alive.

The DNA evidence from the blood would be useful if it is NOT Holly's... if its hers its of no great use in the investigation except to confirm an injury.

another note from the presser: they said that the wildlife something something was going to be helping them using high tech equipment to search the area waterways

Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency. They are our hunting police, lol. Not quite that simple, but close.

Today is 6 days searching...

I don't think I've ever heard the word "closure" in reference to a living person involved in a crime. Ever. Whether he meant to say it or not, I think it is the sentiment of the case that made him say it. I'm sure when he looks back on it, he is going to wish he could retract it.

This is the first day I have felt a true shift in the way I perceive the case....I hope I'm wrong.

God bless you Holly...wherever you are sweetie. And blessings to your family who is missing you today.....

No "quantitative" words used to describe the amount of blood found outside the home?

SS...is it widely known who her cousin is?

I had never heard of her until this happened...

People in that town probably know IF she lived there before..

I think it was the older man in the blue shirt - cell phone ring was Mayberry; when it started he scurried off - then came back.
The "family that needs closure" statement is disturbing/deflating. Either a poor choice of words or they believe they are into recovery mode.
What is it about that PHONE? They won't touch that.

There is the possibility they acquired some of the perp's DNA from another item of Holly's they've found.

I posted about registered sex offenders yesterday; there are 12 in Parsons, at least two who match the vague description, maybe more. Just google "registered sex offenders, Parsons, TN."
