I'm a huge country music fan and, I'd still never heard of her until I starting reading about Holly. Must be new? :dunno:

From what I understand from FB (the Bible of all things social LOL), she was on a show a few years ago called Nashville Star and did really well. I believe that was in 2005 so it seems she is still trying to get into the business. Another country star got her start there (Miranda Lambert), so who knows. I did listen to her video and personally, wasn't impressed.

I have also read that Holly participated in talent shows herself, some involving travel. Maybe some weirdo somewhere saw her and became infactuated. This case is so d*** baffling because the LE won't release anything. I can understand keeping some things private, but if they keep everything to themselves how can anyone help?

RE:cousin Whitney Duncan, Wikipedia says she's from Scotts Hill,TN which is about 16 miles down the hwy from Parsons. Both are VERY small towns, so yeah, I think the 'local girl makes good' factor would be very well known.

Yea, if that is the case they would know...It would probably make Holly as popular as it did her cousin actually..

Have any of those guys been around the family? Looking for work or anything like that?

Thats a very good question. It is believed the man (Curtis Vance) that was convicted of raping and murdering Anne Pressly in Arkansas had been seen going around the neighborhood asking if there were odd jobs he could do. Neighbors spotted someone matching his description going door to door, snooping around back yards, and possibly harassing women at a local gym before the crime took place.

Some people actually thought this could be a hoax? The thought never crossed my mind.

I've heard more than one person say that she probably just ran away.. :(

Was it ever mentioned whether either of Holly's ex-bfs lived out of state or had out-of state ties?

Why would they say that? Did they know something that indicated she was at odds with her family? Or that there was stress in her home?

Have any of them been at the hospital recently?

as for the governor adding 50k to the reward does anyone kinda go hunh? or is it just me?

don't get me wrong... I am GLAD the reward has been increased I am just wondering if the governor of the state doing it is normal... I have been around awhile but I don't remember anything quite like that happening

I wish/hope the LEO's would take a look at that aspect and those possibilities...

I thought about that in a kinda normal investigative way. Thinking maybe she did and someone came up with a story to cover for her. But, as more details came out, I didn't think that was really possible or plausible.

UPDATE: 3:48 PM Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam has announced a $50,000 reward for information leading to the apprehension, arrest and conviction of the person or persons who are criminally responsible for the aggravated kidnapping of 20-year old Holly Bobo. This is in addition to the $25,000 raised by community members and area businesses, bringing the total amount to $75,000.

“Holly Bobo’s family needs answers,” Haslam said. “It is my hope that this reward money would spur some leads that will bring Holly home safely.”

Decatur County, TN - At a press briefing Monday afternoon, TBI Director Mark Gwyn reported that the TBI still did not have a definitive person of interest related to the abduction and disappearance of 20 year old Holly Bobo.

I don't have any prob with the reward and teh search (I think it is good for sooo many reasons) but I guarantee if I go missing no one is going to pony up $75,000 so that is kinda odd. We had a cop killer here they were looking for that shot a couple officers and I think his bounty was a paltry $12,000.

I don't have any problems either.. I just cannot recall it happening before:waitasec: especially by the governor.

I guess we need to look into retiring to tennessee when the military gig is up! The response (search and now reward) has been amazing!
