KCSO's Facebook post has a lot of comments. Neighbors out looking for him. Possible sightings too. I wonder why they haven't issued a "Silver Alert" yet. I hope he found a place to stay warm, maybe in someone's shed, barn, garage.

Silver alert has been issued. I live here, he went missing before and was found in the woods. Every direction he could have gone leads to a four lane road. The one exception is behind Walmart out Norris Freeway. Had someone picked him up I think we would have heard by now. If he had walked across either of these busy (busy!) four lane roads someone would have seen. It isn't a bad neighborhood at all very low crime.

Oh good! I-40 electronic signs should alert a much bigger population.

Per WATE tv channel, sad, worried family asking for people to keep eye out for him. I worry that since he is able to walk 10 miles in a day (per original reports), he can be too far away and may be in deep woods.

They need to look at creeks, runoffs, ditches & ponds. He could be drawn to water. Not just because he’s thirsty either.

Sheriff Tom Spangler said there have been no confirmed sightings of Jack Harrison in that time, but no one is giving up on the search.

[...]

He asks that if you think you see Harrison to please try to keep him in your sight while you contact authorities and until they arrive. His family has suggested telling him that "Karen is waiting for you" as a way to keep him nearby.

Karen is his wife, and along with other family members, friends, and community volunteers, are continuing to look for Harrison.

Prayers for Jackie and his family and friends. Missing something about his disappearance, but what is it ? Could he have met up with an acquaintance and left with this person? Any places nearby familiar to him in years past ? Did he fish ? Could he have wandered to look for a familiar place ?

I really do feel not enough is being released to the public. According to sources in the search on the ground, he was seen crossing the road at Emory Road and Norris Freeway. Two people called the police that night and said a man was wandering in traffic. Their descriptions matched the clothing. Sources tell me that a man rang a doorbell about a block from that intersection that night. Video at the home captured what appeared to be Jack. Supposedly the police K9 tracked the scent from there to Brickey McCloud school on Emory Road where the scent was lost. This is the talk of the searchers, but nothing is being confirmed by authorities. This family needs help from a professional organization.

15 days later, search continues for missing Knox Co. man with dementia

Knox County Sheriff Tom Spangler said the search for Harrison is continuing. He continues to urge people who live within a 10-12 mile radius of the store to check their property and outbuilding for any signs that Harrison could have been there. He also asks anyone with surveillance cameras to go back and check the footage and continue to monitor it.

Spangler said it was heartwarming to see how the community has come together in an effort to bring Harrison home. Spangler said he has seen multiple signs at intersections, in business windows and even on vehicles when he was in the Halls community.

The sheriff's office is checking out every possible sighting.

Clayton Park in Halls has become a make-shift headquarters for volunteers to plan on where to search.

Everyday loved ones say they’re there to regroup with the hopes of bringing Mr. Harrison back home.

“Just want him home safe. Just want to hear his voice,” said [KH], Mr. Harrison’s wife.

[...]

“If you hear car alarms going off, I know that seems like it’s a minor thing, but it really isn’t when you think about someone trying to get out of the cold and keep warm,” said [KH].

She feels her husband is hiding somewhere, sleeping during the day, “If he is walking at night then that’s why we haven’t found him. So, I just need everyone to look.”

Congressman joins call for public's help finding missing Halls man

U.S. Rep. Tim Burchett has joined the chorus of concerned citizens urging the public to help find a man with dementia missing since Nov. 17.

"My family and I are praying for Mr. Harrison and his family, as well as the dedicated law enforcement officers and members of our community working to bring Mr. Harrison back to safety," a statement Wednesday from the Knoxville congressman reads. "Before heading out to the grocery store, shopping for holiday gifts or running errands, please take a look at the photo of Mr. Harrison. Remember his appearance and keep him in mind as you go about your day."

I wonder if the family had a dog that would go walking with them. Some family pets are very intuitive.
