This link doesn't work for me?

It may have been switched to Private, I saw some people advising her sister to do that yesterday so that the POI wouldn't be able to see what they were discussing/have a "heads up" on their movements
@Knox It appears the group has been removed. @threesevenninefour Jazzy's sister posted yesterday letting members know she changed the privacy setting but it would take a few days to take effect. I suspect they decided to close that group then start a new, private one. MOO

so if she did not post that most recent post on her FB, can they somehow trace to where the post was made from?
I hope like heck LE is working on doing just that. I have no idea whether they'll be able to trace the IP address to show where it was posted. Advancements in technology sometimes tend to throw a wrench in LE's capabilities. Hopefully Chattanooga PD seeks out technological assistance from the FBI. MOO

Sadly I just don't see this ending well. Has anyone heard if LE has started any sort of investigation of the person she was last seen with? According to her family this absence is extremely out of character.

I'm wondering where the boyfriend lives. I drive by those condos often and there are tons of apartments on that road and it's a pretty long road.

Any information on the Jasmine Pace case is being held right now due to the ongoing investigation," Sydney Hamon, public information officer for the Chattanooga Police Department, said by email Tuesday afternoon.

The family believes she may be with male friend Jason Chen. Pace shared her location with her mother at 2:18 a.m. Nov. 23 on her cellphone from Chen's apartment near Tremont Street and Frazier Avenue in North Chattanooga, Putman said.

Neither Putman nor members of Pace's family have met Chen, whom Pace became friends with in May, Putman said.

"It is someone she is familiar with," Putman said of Chen, adding that he was "probably more than a friend," but they were not dating exclusively.

Pace did not date often and had no other recent boyfriends, Putman said.

My God what a terrifying situation for Jasmine's family :(
I don't feel this is going to end well.

I’m pretty sure someone said it was the apartments above Bela Lisboa. 417 Frazier.

From this article, it sounds like the FBI is taking a more active role in the case.

Finally! I hope they get answers quickly. MOO

SBM from article linked by @Knox
"We are trying to step back for a second and let the police and the FBI do their job," Putman said. "We obviously are very grateful for having a larger amount of resources available to us now with (the FBI) being a large part of the investigation.

According to Facebook Jason Chen is in custody in Williamson County, TN and they are having a press conference at 1pm.

Confirmation of above:

Chen is being held in the Williamson County jail.

(..)

Hamilton County District Attorney Coty Wamp will join Chattanooga Police Chief Celeste Murphy for the CPD weekly news conference to give an update on the Jasmine Pace case.

I don't understand why these police departments don't make use of the vast skills of the FBI. The local department can still take a primary role in these investigations and can still be the "face" of the case, giving press conferences, etc.
The FBI does not get involved with state crimes unless it involves crossing state lines, terrorism, or organized crime. The TBI could support the investigation, however.

EBM to add some notes from PC -
  • Jason Chen charged with criminal homicide. :(
  • He retained legal counsel and did not answer any questions.
  • Still seeking leads/info to help find Jazzy.

They often offer their assistance in certain cases, reaching out to police departments, sheriff's offices, and even state agencies, where they feel their training and skills would be helpful.

Thanks for that, I should have read closer! Given the distance from his apartment to the area her car was found it makes me wonder if she could be in the woods of Signal Mountain which are close by. Not sure why someone would choose that location specifically to leave a car. Where he lives is pretty populated and not really a place to "hide" someone. So sorry for this news for her parents, praying for them!

Good point, though normally LE reaches out to them requesting assistance as opposed to them reaching out to LE (don't think there is any hard and fast rule about that though). Here's a good guidebook put together for LE on what they can offer during an investigation. https://www.sheriffs.org/sites/default/files/uploads/Service Guide Chief-Sheriff.pdf
