"She and her boyfriend at the time had had a spat or whatever, so she came to stay with me for a few days. Then I guess they made up, and she asked me to go take her to meet him and I did. She got in a vehicle with him, the same vehicle was located in Alabama a few days later —abandoned," Sullivan said.

Then in April, Jacob McCord — who was dating Jennifer around the time she went missing — was arrested on unrelated charges. He was in a stolen truck and tried to run away from police in Nashville, according to a report. A missing persons detective tried to meet with him in jail, but he refused to speak to them, according to a spokesperson with the police department.

“I hope no one’s going to end up like us one day and wondering and searching and have a dead end,” said Lindsey Wood, Bell’s sister.

“Unfortunately, the more time that goes in a missing persons case or any homicide case, we lose evidence,” said Elizabeth Mills, Metro Nashville Police Detective.

According to Mills, Bell’s case is now considered a cold case since a year has gone by with no information on where she could be. “It’s a little frustrating when you don’t have a lot of evidence to build a case.”

Mills said Bell’s then-boyfriend was the last person to know her whereabouts. “I’ve tried to talk to him twice and he has declined me both times,” Mills said.

Currently, Jacob McCord is in Davidson County Jail for several unrelated charges. In April of this year, he was charged with theft of a motor vehicle, possession of fentanyl and several other charges. Detective Mills said he is not considered a suspect in Bell’s case, only a person of interest.

Since he is a POI in this case, if his name is Jacob Douglas McCord, here's a rundown of his arrest history (official ".gov" judicial site). Click on the link to view the page where his data is displayed. Towards the bottom is fairly recent charges for bringing contraband into prison (whether he was the prisoner or the one bringing it in wasn't clear, and I didn't have time to research).

This area seems very close to where Jennifer was last known to be when her mother brought her gas money at 3863 Dickerson Pike. These remains were found just down the road behind the McDonald’s which appears to be at 3300 Dickerson Pike. I hope this isn’t her. Gender is either not known or not noted/released yet. There are many people missing in Nashville and nearby areas.

This wooded area could also be a homeless camp although that is not specified.

According to Nashville PD, a woman found a “severely decomposed grouping of skeletal remains” in the wooded area behind McDonald’s on the corner of Dickerson Pike and Homestead Road.
