A few observations:

1. Reasons for taking Jo Ann off of the Amber Alert - either she was killed or it was determined she is playing an active role in this.

2. The bodies in the back yard that have yet to be identified - it's very possible they have been there for weeks, months or years and hence the need to use buckets and sift the back yard.

3. What was the trigger? Obviously, AM had full 100% access to these kids seemingly unsupervised. The plan was for he and GB to drive to AZ. It would have been much easier to rid the family of GB during their trip alone, feign a 'disappearance' along the way, rather than kidnap 4 people and go on the run. Getting rid of GB would have been the fastest way to a goal of having Jo Ann and the children in his life rather than vice versa.

This is one crazy case....

Just my opinion, but if i took my kids out of state, back to a former residence, to pack up and immediately head back to our new residence, they would have no reason or possibility to be in school in (tenn), so I think they were back to tidy up affairs from a close friend or family member passing away, and perhaps due to the duration of the stay they were re enrolled into Tenn. school. Hence why they were noticed missing by GB when they did not get off the school bus. I also think that possibly JB was headed to take them to school when the actual crime may have started...IMHO

I wonder why they would ride the bus home, but not ride it to school. Did all of the girls ride the same bus and go to the same school?

He has a wife. Any word about where this wife is? There are some women just as sick as men so I wouldn't put it past a wife to be involved? If she is not one of the bodies and she is unaccounted for, they need to release her picture ASAP too.


I'm praying super hard that they are all still alive, but I just have a sick feeling that he wasn't after Joann, but the children, which isn't good for her. I also don't think it looks good for the 14-year-old daughter. He would want to keep the ones he could control the most, and unfortunately, those would be the younger ones and he would not want to take the chance with an older girl. Like I said, this reminds me so much of Shasta and Dylan's case. Duncan killed the whole family, even the older brother, so that he could have the little ones.

I'm just so worried about all of them. Praying for a miracle!

I don't understand why they wouldn't release IDs. Are people supposed to look for one man, one woman, and three girls? Or one man and two girls? Or one man, one woman, one girl? Sure would help to figure out who people should be on the look out for if they released IDs of the deceased.

( yes according to a few public search sites) Hopefully LE is in contact with to see if he can shed any light on this craziness...but then maybe they are estranged

I agree! We need to know who the bodies belong to. Are we looking for One man and two girls? A man, his wife, and two girls? A man, a wife, a woman, and three girls? They really need to release that information because it is very important for people to know what to look for.

Don't forget that no one has yet posted any article or announcement about the recent or current whereabouts of Mayes' parents nor his wife. Those 3 were mentioned by the MS landlady and/or neighbor (link upthread), but in general terms...no specifics on when those 3 were last seen. JMBR (best recollection). JMO.

Wondering how well the landlady knew the "wife". Could it have been JB..he introduced at one time?
