What a kind thought!
I hope, though, that you will consider not restricting your gift.
When Shasta Groene came home, there was quite a trust fund that was specifically earmarked for therapy and education. Which seems like a wise provision, yes?
But her father, Steve Groene, contracted cancer. He didn't have medical insurance and his medical bills ate up their income. For awhile, he and Shasta were actually homeless. Even though there was close to $100K in Shasta's trust fund, the stipulations attached to it meant it could not be used for housing, food or other expenses of every day life.
And then for another period of time, the only place Steve could afford to rent backed onto the interstate, the same interstate that Joseph Duncan spotted them from. It was hugely triggering for Shasta to live there, as you can imagine.
Any child being homeless is horrible and a blot of shame on our nation as a whole. But for a little girl who went through all Shasta did just rips at my heart.
Fortunately, a reporter was doing a followup story and found out that Steve and Shasta had been homeless. The community rallied and donations were made to build them a lovely house in a nice location.
I wish so much that the USA would take an example from Austria (amongst other nations). When Elisabeth Fritzl and her children were discovered, they were provided with medical care and then housing and an income (and round the clock security) by the state. This allowed them to choose to maintain their privacy, so they weren't forced to sell their story to the media in order to survive.
Until or unless the USA makes such provisions for the victims of serious crime, I hope that kind hearted people who make donations keep in mind that sometimes life happens while other plans are being made.
Yes. I know it is unthinkable, but they do not snitch for any reason.
On the one hand, I'm really glad they're broadcasting AM's image across a wide area. On the other, if LE has an idea of how Mayes looks now that he's altered his appearance, a sketch of his current look would be more useful.
Who is Nicole and how is she connected to this case?
A couple images I've found and I might work on one. These are what I've found elsewhere, nothing official. He also maybe wearing hats and dark glasses or bald. I also noticed the creases in his cheeks on one photo.

Thanks for looking it up!! Now I have one more person to be furious about. :banghead:
No you are correct, a 1 percenter will not snitch, but when it comes to a crime against children, they will not participate and he could catch a bullet in his head. I am sorry, but most all that I know and have known, are down for prostitution, drugs, and even murder, but not baby killers... I agree we disagree on this....IMHO
IIRC it was reported mom and dad are holed up in a motel

i would guess glasses would be his best thing to use to hide, since his eyes are his most distinctive feature

TY, but as I catch up on reading, the FB accounts are poof...it was weird when I went to albums to see the upload date of that profile pic...it wasn't in an album...just there as the profile pic.I am almost positive that pic was Alexandria, not Kyliyah. Yes, she looks young but his pics were almost all uploaded summer of last year. And Kyliyah has a different look than Alexandria. Her nose, mouth are shaped different than Alexandria's.
Anyway, I believe the profile pic with him and the girl is Alexandria, and is proof that he thought she was his child. JMO
I wondered about that early on. If someone was invested in his "mission", it mite have been a "let's go git her, no matter what" thang.Yes no mention of that but jb's vehicle was abandoned and he had to have another one to go elsewhere with the girls. so did he have a vehicle waiting or did someone help him?
I'm just guessing, and hate to even think of it.But I think the condition of the remains were such that it was complicated (especially since trash was burned over the graves)...mother's DNA was there and daughter's DNA, but which daughter? Had to get and attempt to match dental records, etc...
I haven't seen it posted here, so JMO, but I read on wtva.com FB (I think?) that hair clippings were found somewhere (the evidence of altering appearance of the other girls and AM), so perhaps they had to DNA test those as well.
Very horrific...
