I’m confused. Was this 2 different sightings? Usually when they say Joseph, they mean the dad. So did she see Baby Joe? Or Joseph? Or was it 2 separate sightings?Thank you to everyone for all the updates. Little Joe Clyde's escape out of the house is puzzling to me.
From this article: Joe Clyde Daniels: 10 things we learned at preliminary hearing
Boyd continued reading Joseph’s statement: “I then told them to get their (butts) in the bed. Baby Joe started laughing. So I beat him. That’s when he ran out the front door. Baby Joe ran to the road. I saw a car drive by. I ran out and got him back in the house. I beat him some more. That’s when I killed Baby Joe.”
But the witness says it was miles away:
"We do have a witness...who was driving down Garners Creek Road and witnessed Joseph Daniels outside on that road in the early morning hours," Boyd said. Joseph was a couple miles south of the residence, Boyd said, when the witness drove by him, with her headlights on, and he "froze."
How did he get so far? And why oh why did the witness not stop? He could have been saved![]()

“A witness said he saw a child on Garner’s Creek Road. Boyd said the description fit Joe Clyde.“

Oh I think it’s 2 separate sightings. Male driver saw Baby Joe on Garner’s Creek Rd, not clear where exactly. Female driver saw Joseph the dad, 2 miles south on Garner’s Creek Rd.
@Niner the only online lookup I found was for appeals: Public Case History | Tennessee Administrative Office of the Courts
Hoping someone else with better Google skills will have more luck!
Investigators plan to continue searching Dickson over the weekend, as well as Hickman County. Sheriff Jeff Bledsoe said they’ll use as many resources as possible to find Joe Clyde. The blanket is currently undergoing forensic testing.
The group will concentrate its search near CCC Road. David Rader (TES) says it is a "dangerous" search because there are wildlife traps in the area.Trained search crews are continuing to look through wooded areas, near creeks, streams, fields and other rural areas for the remains of 5-year-old Joe Clyde Daniels.
About 30 people met Saturday morning in Dickson County for another round of searching. This group is led by Texas EquuSearch and includes some volunteers from Christian Aid Ministries.

Yeeeeah that looks like a buried blanket!!!
Google MapsTwo sightings. One we'd heard of earlier which was the driver who saw little Joe. The second is new to me, and that was the female driver who saw Joseph 2 miles south, and that sounds like it could have been on the drive to dispose of the body.
Sorry just checked there are 4 sets of rails and about 3 single ones on the left side!Google Maps
I'm curious about what the female driver saw. The LD said she saw Jopseph standing by guard rails looking in the direction of the woods and froze when he saw her but didn't look up, but no-one asked about his car, if it was there or not? I googled Garner Greek Rd. and there are just 3 sets of rails along that road and behind one set the area looked too open so that would leave two. Bear in mind though the map images are from Nov. 2009 so could have changed.
Huh? 8 year old beat him up badly???Please let this be the day this child is found. Telling what kind of life the children had & what they saw & went through if an 8yo is beating up his brother so badly he's taken to the hospital
The defense lawyer asked the LD about it but said he couldn't remember seeing it in the reports which seemed odd to me because I really can't see how he would forget that, but I don't think the defense would bring it up if it wasn't true. So that's as far as the testimony went.Huh? 8 year old beat him up badly???
I was confused, too! I can't say I blame her if she didn't stop to talk to the father- he probably had a wild look in his eyes just before he froze when he saw her. Not to mention, at the time, she wouldn't have had a clue about little Joe's disappearance. I'm glad she came forward!Oooooh, that makes so much more sense! I thought it was baby Joe that was miles away. Thank you so much!
Awe, that's heartbreaking to look at. Poor boy, I hope that he's found soon.
