A source close to this case says a court officer who asked the dismissed alternate jurors where they stand — three said first degree murder. One said second degree murder. That could give us an indication where things are going.

UPDATE: VERY INTERESTING.
Three new developments in the Joe Clyde Daniels murder trial as the jury deliberates:
— A court officer shuttling the four excused alternate jurors back to the hotel asked them how they would vote on guilty or not guilty for Joseph Daniels?
THREE ANSWERED GUILTY OF FIRST DEGREE MURDER.
ONE ANSWERED GUILTY OF SECOND DEGREE MURDER.
— The judge says he’ll allow the jury to deliberate till 9 or 10 p-m central time.
— Dinner is being brought to the jury between 5 or 6 p-m.
I will guess we get a verdict not long after they eat.

The jurors seem to be watching this video very intently. They have a transcript and they had one the first time they saw this. But this time they seem to be looking more at the coercion aspect of this.

Well, the jurors now know due to timing of him being seen out at the Love's truck stop during the night things confirms he is lying about not getting up til 5:30. The main thing Joseph got wrong is that he didn't realize Alex did initially try to cover for him out of fear. He figured because Alex always tells the truth that he'd already told LE what he'd seen. That's why his confession and Alex's testimony mesh. Joseph didn't try to protect Alex; Alex did nothing wrong. But my gut says the jury wants to make sure Joseph wasn't falling on a sword for Alex.

I hope they realize the definition of coercion....the practice of persuading someone to do something by using force or threats

I believe that was the next night that he was at Love's, where he showed them the picture of Joe Clyde and said he was looking for his missing son.
