CHARLOTTE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Multiple members of emergency and law enforcement agencies testified during day two of Joseph Daniels’ trial in Charlotte.

A few words said by Joe Clyde’s younger brother within earshot of investigators could be a critical piece of evidence.

Six different witnesses were called - all of them responded to the Daniels home the morning Joe Clyde was reported missing.

We are about to see body camera video of Sergeant Daniel Baker who was with McCartney. Baker was killed 2 months after this video, so he cannot testify.

The body camera video showed Sergeant Baker checking the interior of a semi truck at the Daniels residence. Afterward, Det. McCartney says they went to 2 sex offenders homes listed in the area.

We have moved to a video from inside Loves Truck Stop about 9 miles from the Daniels residence. There we see Daniel McCormick buy Dr. Pepper and some fruit or donuts. In hearings we heard Daniel McCormick say he saw a child dressed in PJ’s the night #JoeClydeDaniels disappears

We see McCormicks car drive past Pruitt Springs around 1AM 4/4/2018. He does not pull into driveway.

A video from 6:15AM on 4/4/2018 shows a car pull out of the Daniels residence and onto Garner Creek Rd. This is before a 911 was made.

The defense is now doing their cross examination. They ask Det. if she and Det. Lovell interrogated the defendant to drive and drive with them to show where he searched for the child. “We definitely didn’t interrogate him.”

Det. McCartney says the hatch in front of the front door and the latch with the padlock prevented #JoeClydesDaniels from escaping.

In the recording from yesterday we hear Joseph say Joe hasn’t unlocked a door. But it’s possible he unlocked it.

McCartney says she interviewed Daniel McCormick the morning of 4/4/2018. He says he was coming home from work and saw a child in skeleton PJ’s at the side of the road near the Daniels home.

Update: videos from Pruitt Springs were watched again. This time the jury was told to focus on the bottom right hand corner and watch an unfamiliar flashing light. The state compared the video to cars going in and out of the driveway. One being the newspaper delivery.

Kennard asks Daniels if he’s ever been punished for urinating on the floor (that’s what Joseph says he did the night Joe went missing). “We don’t punish him for that stuff. We just say, “that’s not what we do”.”

Joseph says he fears #JoeClydeDaniels would run away and gets nervous dropping him off at school when he could run off at recess. “He’s going to run away and no one will find him.”
