Lavon Robins is now at the stand. She worked at the Loves Truck Stop during the midnight shift. She says she saw Little Joe and Joseph come in around Easter time. Joe had on PJ’s that weren’t typical

She says she took her dog out during her break one night. When she returned she saw a maroon car and a person in a hood at the pump. She says this was Joseph Daniels on 4/5 around 3AM.

Let’s clarify: We saw one video inside the Loves at 2:45AM on 4/5 of Joseph at the counter. Robins says she saw him at the pump when she came in after that. We see another video from 3:03-3:09AM of Joseph coming back in and showed them a picture of Joe.

She says she saw Joseph driving that night at a very slow speed on a high speed road. The defense says he was searching for Joe Clyde. This was before Robin saw him at the pump.

Robin’s also says Big Joe (Joseph’s father) called the Loves Truck Stop 2 times after Joseph left that night. We are now on John Gunn, who works for Dickson Sheriff’s Dept. Joseph requested to speak with him to get in contact with TBI agents.

The state is trying to suggest that the Defendant went into the Love’s travel center, made a purchase and then left to dispose of Joe Clyde’s body. 15 minutes later he returned to Love’s and showed his phone to create a timeline and witnesses.

We are back with Brandt Holt. He was with TBI at the time. On April 7th he picked up Joseph Daniels. He was mirandized and wanted to show the location where Joe Clyde’s body could be and provide Claude.

Holt says the defendant told him he stopped at Loves Truck Stop and bought a Dr. Pepper with 3 $1 bills. He then took Joe Clyde’s body to Piney River (Hickman County) and dropped the body off the bridge. That’s where they searched.

The defense points out the videos we saw inside Love’s don’t show Daniels buying a Dr. Pepper. But Mr. McCormick (a previous witness) did.

We are going over some of the photos Fort took of the Daniels home inside and outside that day. There’s about 1200 but we’re told they’ll only show some. Inside the home is very clean and straightened up.

Fort says his team used “blue star”. A chemical that shows blood on a scene. He says there were several markers inside the living room that tested positive. He also says blood doesn’t have to be red/brown. It can look orange or even mask itself.

Blue star is used to narrow their focus. Results still have to be sent to a lab to test and completely verify.

A juror asked: Does Blue Star mark urine or other chemicals such as juice? They were taken out while the question was discussed. Fort says it was not tested in the lab for urine or juice. The jury is heading back in now.
