TN - Joshua Hadra, 22, shot to death, Puryear, 23 Sept 2017 *Arrests*

Puryear, Tenn.—A 22-year-old Hazel man was shot and killed last night at the convenience store in Puryear and investigators are seeking the public’s help with information.

Josh is from Kentucky.

The Henry County Sheriff’s Office and Puryear Police were called to the Minit-Mart at 9220 Hwy. 641 N last night and immediately cordoned off the area.



Killed in the incident was Joshua Hadra, white male, age 22, of Hazel.

Officers are investigating the murder of a Kentucky man that took place at a store in Puryear Saturday night.

Joshua Hadra, 22, of Hazel was murdered about 8 p.m. Saturday at the Minit Mart store on Highway 641 in Puryear, according to information from Capt. Adam Jenkins

"At this time this is not believed to be a random act and there is no reason for the general public to be alarmed," Jenkins stated.

Investigators have identified Joshua Hadra as the victim. Deputies say he lived right across the state line in neighboring Hazel, Kentucky and worked in Murray.

Sunday crime scene tape is still up at the Mini Mart. According to the clerk the victim had an altercation with someone in the parking lot.

Phillip Nelson and Ralph Vulpitta are charged in the death of Joshua Hadra...

Nelson is charged with first degree murder. His bond was set at $500,000. Vulpitta is charged with conspiracy to commit murder, and his bond was set at $400,000.
