I thought her daughters were 9 and 6. Not teenagers. I was watching HLN news yesterday and they covered this case for a short segment. That was the ages they mentioned IIRC. I had the assumption that the daughters were quite younger than the sons, though.

My concern is this will go unsolved as in Holly Bobo's case and so many others. LE suddenly stop updating the public and before we know it.....months, years go by without a resolution.

It's been 3 weeks already since she disappeared. I was hoping some evidence would point one way or other but that doesn't seem to be the case.

I hope the next thing LE says isn't "we don't have to keep anyone informed, there is a law that says so" a la Holly Bobo LE...

Maybe, maybe not. You never know what will turn up, it just takes a smart detective to track everything down and connect the dots. Sometimes a connection can be found in the tiniest little detail.
I really do not like that this sheriff is so difficult to make contact with, the article makes it sound like he's holing up in his office and not taking calls at all. Not good, when you consider that the citizens of that county voted him in office and he has an obligation to at least assure them that everything possible is being done to protect them. There could be a serial killer running around abducting and murdering women, for all he knows.
The point is, we can't afford to assume that this is not connected to these other cases because there could be a possibility. We don't know enough details to know one way or the other, but I certainly hope LE knows a lot more than we do at this point.

It is also being reported that he is not "holed" up in his office. He is very much hands on and involved in this investigation.

Yes, that was reported early on...I believe it was a Cat costume...don't know if that means Cat Woman or not, HTH.

Once again, this is a red-flag to me, another form of the "distancing" I've seen in this case and mentioned earlier....
Why wouldn't she have changed or taken if off when she had returned home?
I've never seen a case where what appears to be all of what one had on was found and a naked body was then taken.
But I can picture a husband (not accusing anyone, just saying) who's wife comes home and he kills her, and then doesn't want the costume she wore that night which is so symbolic of her plans to leave him, in his house.

Old Steve: One of the few 'knowns' here is the costume was found in the car. I assume she changed at the party, but who knows. Her son stated on JVM I believe that his mom changed into pajamas at home when she went to bed with her daughter. I 'assume' she had on what she wore to the party at some point since the costume was found in her car. Have no idea why it was in the car. From what I heard on the JVM video her son states she apparently was leaving to go somewhere. Who the heck knows.

There were also pictures from the Halloween Party the mom attended posted on FB, and there were none of her shown. I assume since LE was asking for any photos from the party that they were not posted on the web.HTH.

Yes and there is no panic of any kind here that I have seen or heard. Not like you would expect in someone just missing all at once. It is a mystery but like you said the JVM video is a must see! I believe the oldest brother said something like the little sister had been to a "specialist"..I could not hear that part well but sounds like the Dad is doing all he can to help out here. So sad.

I am still really wondering about the text and phone message to her friend.

Son says it was not an "ugly" divorce, dad found out about divorce when mom took kids on vacation. Is that what I heard?

I just wish that we knew more about the party! Did her STBX show up at the party, or did she see him outside? Where was her STBX during the party? Why is he not looking for her? Why does he not show more concern about her missing?

I "assume" he was at home with the other little girl. They apparently had some type of bonfire thing at their home that Friday night for the kids. Sounds amicable to me but what do I know.LOL.

The Farms is an upscale thing in Dyersburg....like a country club setting. Maybe he did not care for this type thing. Who knows. I have been there once to a baby shower but nothing else. It is a party setting for sure.

I disagree with the son that since she moved the girl she was planning on leaving the house. Without completely blaming the husband here, she could have been planning on either confronting him about something, or talk to him about something sensitive (like about moving out). She moved her daughter so that she wouldn't wake up and here their conversation.

The son states that the divorce was not "ugly". This could mean that these parents made certain that their fights / arguments / issues were behind bedroom doors. Since they were not sleeping together, she may have left the bed with her daughter to take up an issue with him.

This is all a theory, and only my opinion.

So baffled by this one! I just don't know in which direction to speculate. The husband is the only logical answer, nothing else really makes sense to me in my pea brain, but I really don't think it's him. I so hope LE knows more and is on top of it. I am so worried that this will be another that goes cold and unsolved. Praying Karen comes home!!!

My understanding is that only the two little girls went on the vacation...not the older two sons.
