I was correct about my prediction of which direction to look for Karen. I'm wondering now if Karen's cell phone was found with her. We know the phone last pinged in the same general area as where the body was found, assuming this is Karen's body. Which I'm almost positive it will be. LE said the phone's last known location was near a river. They also searched the river very close by near Hwy 78 with no luck. Looking at the maps Otto posted the spot where her body was found and the river are no more than a quarter mile away as the crow fly's.
Since the phone was known to be still on at 5:00 AM when the phone automatically connected to the internet and then turned off moments later, I'm assuming the phone was not thrown into the river, but the battery went dead. The likely hood of the internet connection happening just moments before the perp through the phone into the river are highly against the odd.
Hopefully the phone was found. I think much information could be learned from the phone if it was found.
One other thing. The Google Earth Maps are not current or updated to the minute. They are the latest aerial photographs for that location. They are not satellite photos or video. If I fly to the location of my house (enter your address in the search box) there are several homes NOT shown on the map in the subdivision I live in, that have been built in the past two years. SO I don't think the map you were seeing of the cemetery is current or showing anyone searching for Karen.
