Karen's body has been released. I had heard this yesterday but wanted to wait until the family all had been notified.
Maybe now after her funeral next week-end the family can have some closure.
May she rest in peace.

Karen Swift's body has been released and the funeral arrangements have been made. The services will be conducted by McNabb Funeral Home in Pocahontas, AR. The visitation will be Friday, Feb. 10th from 5:00-8:00 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at the Church of God in Pocahontas which is directly across from the funeral home at 1pm.

Swift's body released to family by coroner's office

Swift's body was released to her family and was taken to McNabb Funeral Home in Pocahontas, Ark., where Swift is originally from. The visitation will be Friday, Feb. 10, from 5 - 8 at the funeral home and the funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. at the Church of God in Pocahontas.

Dyer County Chief Investigator Terry McCreight said Swift's husband, David Swift, is listed as Swift's next of kin and the body would have been released to him.

I am very happy that Karen's family is able to provide her a memorial. I hope that this is does not become a feud like a recent case here on WS. This time is for her children and her parents to mourn her loss. I cannot imagine the pain that they must be feeling.

I wonder if an arrest will happen soon after or right before her burial. It was interesting to me that Justin Adams was arrested the day of his wife's burial. He did not attend.

Karen's family has been very private and quiet. I wonder if they have any suspicions about whom the perpetrator may be?

I wonder what is happening with her husband. What could be a reason that she has been released to her extended family ... aside from suspicious reasons. Could it be that the family made a special request and the husband didn`t object.

Karen's mom lives in AR...but i also saw on memorial page where they have released the body, hopefully an arrest will be made soon!! Justice for Karen Swift!

Hopefully it is a sign that an arrest is soon to come. However, I am curious if it could be more due to a prearranged burial, something in her Will (if she had one) or the result of her filing for divorce?

One of the latest posts on the FB page set up by Karen's family makes me go hmmmm. They are asking everyone to think about a family in the area as the husband shot and killed his wife in front of their children.
