Still praying for justice for Karen Swift!!!!

I am still here every day praying for justice for Karen as well. I am honestly shocked and amazed that there still has not been an arrest. It seems that someone covered their tracks much better than I would have thought. I really believed that an arrest would come quickly after the autopsy. There is not a day that goes by that I do not check on the status of Karen's case. I am really not impressed with the TBI's track record over the last couple of years on pretty high profile cases.

:rose: Hoping for justice for Karen :rose:

Agree! Seemed like this case was on a fast track to being solved, but something must be awry - would be interesting to know what happened.

Just a thought, all the cases I have been following are dragging out for months and months or longer, even when the last person with the victim is obviously the POI or suspect, though not necessarily named by LE publicly, depending on the case.

I'm beginning to wonder if the dismal failure and the lack of getting a conviction in the Casey Anthony case has had some influence on LE's tactics and strategies. Maybe they are afraid to go ahead with naming a suspect or making an arrest, because they wait and wait hoping to find more evidence, thinking that otherwise the arrest would be premature and jeopardize the case. :dunno:, but just seems to be a lot of cases going stagnate.

:rose: Karen :rose:

:bump:

All we want is justice - justice for her precious children - justice for her mom and sister - justice for a precious life taken way too soon. Justice for a beautiful woman that was trying to make the most out of life.

Praying for some movement in this case.

Hoping for justice soon. I am not one to always bash LE, but I will preempt my comment by saying - please do not throw anything at me
:truce:

I am glad that I do not live in TN. For the cases that I have followed in TN, there are WAY too many that have not been solved. I do not know how their statics stack up against other states, but I am unfortunately not a fan of the TBI. Here are their 2011 statistics:
http://www.tbi.tn.gov/tn_crime_stats/publications/Crime in Tennessee 2011.pdf
36% of all offenses cleared - 1,158 kidnappings reported, only 581 cleared

Where is the justice for Karen?? Why hasn't an arrest been made? Why isn't there any updates? Why didn't they catch the SOB? :( :(

I've come to realize that it's a blessing to not live in Tennessee or Oklahoma, judging by the cases I've followed here at Websleuths. Cases rarely are solved in those two states. Truly sad.....

Would make a good story for an ID or Dateline show, especially if this goes cold... these shows have a way of getting info...

I'm always for LE considering I'm married to 1 but I'm afraid that they might have messed up on this case.... Hate to say it. It's been many months and nothing. Justice for Karen Swift!!!!

Would be interesting to know what LE has what they don't have... could be the perp was very clever, or just plain lucky.

The easy days of perps being caught off-guard by advances in DNA are over, and thanks to all the CSI type shows on the air, solving some cases is not so easy.

While an arrest is what I would really like to see, I'd settle for a shout out from LE right now. Just something saying they are working on it. :websleuther:

 AMEN!!!

:please: let the :lipssealed: be over. I can't imagine living near this area and not feeling a bit  and nervous with a murderer out on the street. Even though they tell us that they feel confident that no one else will be harmed, I do not understand how they can say this. The pressure must be great on someone that committed a heinous crime. I do not live there and I want to :slap: someone!!

I am still a bit :steamed: by the :silenced: It is time for a presser at the very least. :please:

http://www.stategazette.com/story/1849038.html

Although no charges have been made in the five-month-long murder investigation of Karen Swift, Dyer County Sheriff Jeff Box says he is certain he and his team of investigators will undoubtedly make an arrest.
"We are confident we will bring the person, or persons responsible, to justice," said Box. "The investigation is still active and ongoing."

As the investigation enters its 156th day

"Our office has collected much evidence in the case and investigators still are confident that an arrest will be made when the investigation is complete, but not until then," stated Box. "We will protect the integrity of this case up to the arrest and maintain this integrity during the trial to see that a conviction is received. This case must and will be tried in a court of law and not in the media, not on the Internet, and not in the newspaper."

Maybe they do read here?! ;)

"I don't want to speak badly about Karen," said attorney Steve Farese. "But were some things going on that were quite unusual."

Farese says his investigation has uncovered some suspects. He says he has names of more than one person and that it is going to be very interesting. But he would not name names or say what unusual things were going on at the time of Karen Swift's death.

It always makes me suspicious when the spouse hires a high powered attny

Any time an attorney begins to attack the character of the victim, it raises my hackles!! He says that he is not going after her, but he is subtly suggesting that she was not of stellar character.

If David had nothing at all to do with this, why hire an attorney? They have not ever publicly named him as a POI, and they have never even hinted that they are looking at him. It really is telling to me that he hired this attorney because they say that they still believe an arrest will be made. IMHO

Holly, I have not heard the COD yet. I think that Sheriff Box knows, but he is holding everything close to the vest.
