Not sure why Karen's mother and sister are staying quiet. I wondered if they have access to the kids if they behave. If they demand answers or kick up noise, they won't be allowed to see them. Do they see them now anyway? But I would not let this die and it's heading there now. That sheriff has not been honest and the people in that town should be outraged and vote him out when his term is up. The local news media may say a line or two come October, so the sheriff can say he has a suspect, or he doesnt want his deputies to be blind-sided when they go for an arrest, so he's iving no statement right now, or the test samples still haven't been processed.

So many good things happening in other cases lately. CMJA verdict. Justice for little April. Jacque has been found. It is past time for justice for Karen.

What a shame that Karen's case is getting buried just like she was!

Why would an official representative of a Law Enforecement Agency make public statements that he cannot back up???

Where is the forthcoming arrest of the one prime suspect (paraphrased) Sheriff Box???

May Karen RIP but her resting in peace will be more assured if her murderer is held Accountable!!! Money nor Ignorance should be able to buy Freedom!

The locals didn't seem concerned they had a killer on the loose? I guess not. The locals and family didn't seem concerned that the sheriff made statements he couldn't back up (several times)? I guess not. The local news media didn't see a need to get information on this case since last year? I guess not. Poor Karen!

I am horrified that no arrest has been made after all this time and all those reassuring statements by the sheriff that they were building a solid, if not airtight, case. I feel such sympathy for Karen's family. I can't imagine the anger and frustration they must be experiencing.

I guess this is just one more example of a perfect crime. Somebody wanted Karen dead and they made it happen, with no consequences to themselves apparently. Still hoping to see justice done, one day, maybe.

As a result of her murder, there was no divorce, no loss of property, no custody dispute ... it all just went away, so there is one obvious person that benefitted from her murder. The only alternative is that she got up in the middle of the night, left the house, met up with a murderer a few minutes after leaving the house - where she abandoned her car, that person left her near a cemetery, left her clothes between her car and the house, and then tossed her phone near the river. That possibility seems very unlikely.

How could LE feel that this man is not a threat?

A man that would kill the mother of his children and deprive them of a mother for all times, can not possibly love his children. jmo

Children are never safe living with a killer. jmo

Husband lawyered up and that lawyer was in a traffic accident in which he was accused of something (maybe DUI?). He was also hurt. So then husband hires the attorney that Mary Winkler used to get herself off scott-free. I think he is who caused LE to put the brakes on. They know he will rip them up if their case is not air tight, and I don't think it is. Not because it's not there, but because I think they were clueless on a lot. It's all a darn shame. MOO

Bumping for Karen! This is truly ridiculous and disgusting! Sheriff Box, if you're reading, let's go! Dyersburg community members - almost two years with no arrest for Karen's murderer - is this OK with you?! I would hope not! Demand answers and justice for Karen!!!

Wow! Almost two years! At this point, they must have checked all they could have with today's technology.

Writing that reminds me of the Patti Adkins case now some 12 years cold where it seemed LE was hoping for new technology to help.

IMO, I get the feeling that in Karen's case emphasis was on "waiting for test results to come back" and with the wisdom of hindsight that kind of looking for DNA to solve a case isn't working as well as did some years back when perps were caught off-guard by advances in DNA identification.

I agree. All the information released so far would lead one to believe that only one person had motive to remove Karen from this world. It's the most logical way to approach this crime. I just wish LE would hurry up and "solve" this so justice can be served. Her family and children deserve at least that. IMO

:bump:

Still waiting.

Haven't forgotten you, Karen. Praying for an arrest and conviction one day soon.

Prayers to her children and loved ones.

Could this be the perfect crime? Amazing....

The only hope I see now for justice is that some day someone will remember something and come forward.

Every time I see this thread pop up to the top of board, I think "Today is the DAY!"

Sadly, it is not. We are still here for you Karen. One day, your killer will be brought to justice. . .

I love how that headline says "Davis" Swift! I wonder why? It's been so long, but it's SOMETHING at least.

Looks like they've corrected their typo. In any case....movement on this case???

:please:

Justice for Karen and her loved ones.

MT @JBroachWMC: I have learned Dyer County sheriff deputies are searching Karen Swift's home right now. Full report at 10.

I worry about children being there to see that search! Oh meee...!

It's so often the children that suffer, isn't it? :(

Yes, and I can't ever fathom a man killing the mother of his children. It's the worse thing he could ever do to them. This has gone on so long, and I have had little faith in Box and his antics. But Karen and her family need answers!
