Circumstances of Recovery Two local men met a White male in his 60s approximately 1.5 years ago that lived in a tent in a culvert by the railroad tracks on the north side of McNutt Shoals, part of the Tennessee River, and east of the Vulcan Materials Company. On 02/04/2024, the two men, curious about the individual's whereabouts, went to the general location of where they believed the man to have set up camp. Upon investigation, a collapsed tent was found and inside the men located skeletal remains.
