Could she be Afro-Latina? Her admix looks that way, very multiethnic with a large influx of Mediterranean and some Native genetics.

Just watched this video on the recent Maury County Jane Doe identification and saw the reconstruction for LaVerenge Jane Doe as well, hope that the announcement is coming soon.

Can someone tell me why this is marked resolved, but Google says that it isn't? I am assuming that resolved means that there's a conclusion to the case?

Can you explain what you mean by "Google says that it isn't"? The UID's Doenetwork page has been changed to identified and their NAMUS profile has been removed. Their name hasn't been announced, but not all identified former-UID's names are made public.

Actually I am not sure. I may have Googled the wrong thing. I sorry for confusing everyone.

Her Namus (The National Missing and Unidentified Persons) profile has been deleted a few month ago, which usually implies identification. However, the Law Enforcement involved in her identification have not made an official statement so far. In her case the relevant law enforcement is LaVergne Police Department, maybe somebody local to the area or local press can contact them and inquire if they will make a statement. There is a contact:

Somebody asked the DDP about her the status of her case as her Namus was taken down a couple of years ago. Here is the DDP answer:

“We provide as much information as we can to the public about our cases. All information is approved by our partner agencies, and we follow their lead on any announcements.”

It seems like a suspicious death, as she was found in a wooded area with no clothes, but still wearing jewelry. And I don’t think the clothes had degraded, because the estimated time of death was 3–4 months earlier — I don’t think that’s enough time for all the clothing to disappear

Turns out she was Afro Latin on her Puertorican side, typical mix of Native, African, Iberian DNA. I guess her African American side had a heavy influence of European genetics, there is a big chunk of North Atlantic (German or British Isles) in her DNA and I dont think it is her Puertorican side.

Anyhow, I hope they can somehow find who murdered her.

Happy she got her name back

Did her relatives realize she was missing?

Just read this “She had been bound with a yard-trimmer cord and shot in the head”.

I somehow missed this information.
