GUILTY TN - Lindsey Lowe charged in deaths of newborn twins, Hendersonville, 2011 *guilty*

  • #121
I apparently am friends with people on Facebook who went to school with her, as I lived in Sumner County as a young child. And the outpouring of support from these people..the same that would ask me about Casey updates and say she should fry..is amazing to me. They say that she could not have done this, she could not have been in her right mind, that she was a great person..well, she admitted to having done it..and after that, and seeing how many still support her..I just don't get it.

http://www.wsmv.com/story/15495360/bond-set-for-woman-accused-of-killing-newborn-twins

article has a photo and video of her from the morning hearing. She is not so overly weight that she could hide twins each weighing approx. 5 to 6 lbs. As most have said, there is so much more to this story than we know at this point.

A friend I went to middle school with knew her from church and I think high school, Goodpasture, not sure..I think that's what my friend says.. and she says that Lindsey did not look pregnant. IDK because I never seen her. Have you seen that show on TLC where even small women didn't know they were pregnant? I don't understand it myself, being 30 weeks and HUGE, but I guess it's possible?

Honestly, hearing now that the boys were not the fiancee's, coupled with the fact that she willingly acknowledged she knew about the pregnancy from the get-go, I think she's going to have a much harder time with an insanity defense. To me, that points straight toward premeditation. I will say, I know our DA, and he's a bulldog. I had the experience of seeing him work a case with similarities (confession in the affidavit and the same bond, crime against a child). The same worries came forth in that case (he's going to get off, he shouldn't be bonded out) and in the end/at the last hour the guy pled guilty and got the max, because the DA had an airtight case. I still think it's a real possibility she's getting the max sentence, regardless of the bond hearing today.

From the beginning it sounded like they didn't belong to the fiancee. Screams motive to me. Doesn't want anyone to find out she's cheating, or that she's having premarital relations, doesn't want to lose her fiancee, doesn't want anyone to know..hides the pregnancy, knows she's pregnant, and intends on killing the babies.

I wonder if this confession will be thrown out, though.

According to the article you linked at least one of the neighbors noticed that she was pregnant but did not go up to her and ask how far along she was. She attended a Christian School, attended college, parents appear to be financially well off so, the bible was her favorite book so why in heck did she do this?:banghead:

Her parents are not financially well off due to her mother's illness - reoccurring brain tumor.

I "think" I get why people/friends who knew her are being supportive. I think they know her to be a good person; maybe they feel she wasn't in her right mind. I believe they might feel compassion for her instead of wanting to see her whipped and pillored.

For myself, I want JUSTICE, whatever that might be.

So the babies were not her boyfriend's?

I haven't seen or heard that this is concrete info. Hendersonville is buzzing with this story and so much speculation is being thrown around. I am waiting on DNA test as to who the father is. This may not be the biggest piece of the puzzle but it will be an important piece.

:praying: I dont think theres anyone anywhere who does not want to see justice for 2 babies born from and murdered by their mother. I am still reeling from this and cant get my brain wrapped around whatever her motives were or are. I want to what if for just a sec. If the father of these babies had known and they were both in agreement of infanticide and he had participated, who would have supporters and who would get bonded? I think neither..jmo, why is she so different than baby Lauryns mom? Kc? Because her moms sick? She went to church? She is a christian? She had a job? These are the questions I keep asking myself..and I keep coming up w the same thing, murder is murder. Then she went on to work and no one there knew-kinda like kc went and got movies... Why is this happening? I really beleive that her actions following the murders are what gets her LWOP.

Does it seem to anyone else that in our society children are treated as belongings. They belong to the parents, so whatever they choose to do with them is their right. Beat them, smother them, chop them up, throw them away......get off with a smack on the wrist.

If an outsider came in and smothered these two babies then confessed, would they be out on bond now??? Sdomething is wrong with this.

I am not justifying what she did by any means, because I think it is horrible. That family was under a lot of pressure with the mom's illness. She had cancer six years ago and it had returned in April. Lindsey had been one of her caretakers. Perhaps this is the reason she didn't want to tell her parents. She didn't want to put any more burden on them. But in doing what she did, she has put an almost unbearable burden on them. They would have gotten over her being pregnant. They will never get over this. How sad for everyone involved! She had only been working at her job for two months in the billing dept. of the pediatric dentist. They couldn't compare how she looked previously. I had wondered why they hadn't noticed. If only she had been able to go to one of these people who are supporting her, how differently this all could have turned out. She could have gotten help so many places. Why did she not understand that? Everyone who has daughters should talk to them and make them understand that if they should ever get pregnant, there is help available. Don't leave it to schools, or churches, or public service announcements. Do it yourself and you will know it has been done.

I hope they at least made her get the Depo Provera shot before she left jail. I'm really surprised that she wasn't on something while being sexually active and not wanting to have children. This is a very odd woman.

Its on the Nancy Grace show tonight and they said that she could get out on 250,000 bond but she is still in jail.

her supporters will dwindle as reality sets in and details emerge ...

right now they're still in shock & the defense team would've asked her parents to get as many people as possible to write letters of support and/or testify to her good character so all these good people who rallied around her parents to support them would've been put in the awkward position of not wanting to appear to be abandoning her parents in their time of need ...

also, they're probably being told to not believe what's in the media and how do they reconcile the beautiful person they've always known with the woman being accused of murder

the answer is they can't - they can't abandon the parents; they can't (yet) believe the reality; and they have to think (for now) that something else has occurred here or that she lost her mind or, or, anything ... anything at all other than the lovely girl they know committed murder

I guarantee there won't be 100 people sitting behind her at her trial or at least after the prosecution presents it's opening

Did anyone else see the video clip of her in court today? Was she grinning or crying? I thought she was grinning. Am I wrong?

One of the reporters tweeted that she was "smiling knowingly" at her supporters. I posted the tweet upthread. Maybe that was it?

She was bawling in court, but it looked like she forced a smile at supporters. I didn't feel one once of sympathy for her.

Yeah I saw that myself and thought no way this (insert your favorite derogatory word here) is smiling!
