My only interest in JC's filing for divorce is that I would so hate for anyone to do anything right now that might push this nut over the edge. Otherwise, it's irrelevant to me.

But isn't he over the edge right now anyway?

He doesn't seem to give a rat's patootie about others right now, in my opinion.

What an embarrassment he is to his kids and grandkids, not to mention JC.

Considering that he has guns on him, I would say he's not as "over the edge" as he could be. To the best of our knowledge, anyway.

I'm with you, MK. But as far as the divorce, I'd be shocked to think that TC could permanently abandon his entire family for the purposes of kidnapping a 15 year old and NOT be served divorce papers at some point. He knew this was coming, he just didn't know when. And frankly, I don't think he cares one way or the other.

I agree. I don't think he cares.

He might care about that " alimony for life " part. But otherwise, I agree. He couldn't give a rat's end about Jill Cummins. That much is obvious.

I'm thinking the alimony that we all know she won't ever see one red cent of is a calculated move to get "unpaid alimony" on his growing list of crimes. It would also open him up to skip tracing, another method of finding people who don't want to be found.

I worked at a McDonald's in high school (a good 15 years ago), and it is possible. I worked after school and longer shifts on weekends, plus longer shifts if there was no school/summer vacation etc. it is definitely possible. I have no idea about chic fil a, but fast food restaurants don't always pay just minimum wage. In my case, minimum wage at that time was $5.15 in Michigan where I was living & working. I made $7.75/hour working at McDonald's. Given inflation and minimum wage increasing since my time, I wouldn't rule out her being able to have saved a substantial amount to 'add to their pot'

Did you save lots of money? Curious. I work with young girls, and no one has money. Lol

If Mountain_Kat says it's ok, then it's ok in my book. :D

What I'll do instead of a direct link is simply post this CNN article. *whistles and walks away*

http://www.cnn.com/2017/04/03/us/tennessee-teacher-manhunt-wife-files-divorce/

Interesting that the article indicated under February 6 , lawyer wrote letter to school and "The teen's cell phone history indicates as well that she remains in contact with Cummins, the letter says."
If they were still in contact by phone why all the IG stuff?

Hi everyone. I am new here but have followed this topic since thread two or so.

I only have a couple of thoughts.

1. Where I live in Anaheim, I see license plates from other states regularly just in my apartment parking lot alone. I have seen: NC, NJ, LA, WA, AZ, NV, and Jalisco, MX to name a few!

2. This is the time of year where people start to move and travel. I see lots of trailers, moving trucks, and newcomers. I myself will be moving to Seattle in a month.

I'm thankful that there are such dedicated folks here. I hope that I don't see too many more threads and that Elizabeth gets home safely soon. I will keep telling everyone I know about her.

Maybe she will be awarded whatever cash is in his retirement accounts and (if they are buying a house) more than half of the value of the home to cover the alimony. (Can the court award that?)

I am glad that she filed and has planned to move on.

Maybe he doesn't think he will get out alive, so maybe even the alimony for life won't matter to him. If they don't find him, he won't pay, and if they find him, well…. grim outcome, in my opinion, for him.

I must be blind. I don't see that in the article. Maybe it's under the timeline link?
