Didn't I see in a post that she bought a salt lamp for him as a Christmas gift?

Yes, someone did say she got it for him. They aren't that expensive, I think I paid $25 or $30 for mine, but it's still a pretty substantial amount for a teenager to spend on a teacher...

Thank you for the info! For her to be telling her sister to call the police if she wasn't home by 6 pm, but is last seen carrying at least several changes of clothing in the last existing photo of her---oh, I think her heart was totally into this runaway plan! She really wanted to do this. And the wedding ring emoji is serious business to a 15- year-old. She is feeling very proud about it.
I am also very interested in knowing how they would hear news about themselves other than their car radio, since it is now too dangerous to use their cellphones for internet access. Has there been a lot of coverage on TV? (I get all my news online.)

This story says:

The last time anyone in her family saw Elizabeth Thomas, it was early Monday morning. She left with a somber warning. "She woke up her older sister and said 'Hey I'm leaving, but if I'm not back by 6:00 come looking for me,'" Thomas's sister-in-law Danielle Thomas told WHNT News 19.

She said they didn't even know anything was wrong until they saw the AMBER alert.

About a year ago a 15ish year old girl was taken by a family friend. I want to say he killed her family first. Anyway, some hikers came across the two of them and called it in. Does anyone recall?

I don't think he's having a psychotic break or anything like that I think he's a predator.

This reminds me so much of the case of pretty 16 yr blonde Hannah Anderson from National City, CA. She was willing to go with an older 40 yr male family friend infatuated with her who killed her mom and brother before abducting Hannah. It finally came to an end in the woods where they were staying in a tent in Idaho. You can read about it here. It's an interesting story.

I just asked about this! Thank you!

I found the one of him wearing blue plaid but she's wearing brown plaid unless their is another photo I can't find

When you refer to CT, do you really mean TC, the man who took her? I am confused. Thank you

  • #167
Lots of peeps staying in those Airbnb's through the app. I saw a special on it.

Also does TC have a criminal history? Prior arrests?

If you buy one of those pre paid Visa cards, it would have money on it, but not your name. Isn't that correct? Thank you

Yes, you can get Visa and American Express cards at places like CVS; the money is loaded on but you don't have to give your name.

In this story the brother said she told her sister to call police if not home by 6.

http://www.wsmv.com/story/34957648/...shares-sisters-statement-before-disappearance

The other story I posted quoted the brother as saying she woke up her sister to say if she wasn't home by six please go look for her.

Something isn't jiving here. Two different accounts from the brother or media wrong. I wonder which is correct unless the brother made it up so cops would look for her more aggressively if taken against her will.

I dont get it either.

Its either she went willingly on a long planned trip or she said those things thinking it was just a day trip or something.

I dont think the brother would lie either.
It is just strange.

One thing that could make sense. Maybe it was the day before that she said those things to her relatives as she saw how the man was becoming irrational and maybe it was the next day she got talked into leaving with him.

So maybe all is true and the days got mixed up because maybe her decision to leave town happened on the spur of the moment . That would explain the way it looks like she is rushing out of the house with supplies. We know he planned it but maybe she didnt agree to go until near the last day.

That photo of her leaving the house with supplies is sad to me. It shows me a nervous girl excited to leave. Spur of the moment decision for her. Maybe he had planned to leave all along but maybe she just decided to join him close to when they left. The photo is the 3rd photo down in the link at bottom.

I know i mentioned before about the items she brought as it could help to know where they went but cant make anything out in the blurry photo except what I think is a teddy bear stuffed animal.
The teddy bear on top is making me sad.

It is the object to the left of the black thing up against her body. It is what I think is a small stuffed animal looking right at us. Feet of it are at bottom and head of it at top.
Its on top to left of black thing. If you take a step back and just glance at the photo then it jumps out at you. Try not to focus too much and casually glance at top of pile of stuff.

From the looks of their joint FB account, I don't think she had any idea in the slightest. He made a bunch of posts about how much he loved his wife. I doubt she was even aware that he had an Instagram account and was using it to manipulate teenage girls.

They share a FB account, could be her posting too.

If Thomas' family was to sue the school, there is a cap on how much they could even get with $300,000 being the maximum.

"The state is*immune from damages and they give you very limited ability. There is a cap for several thousand dollars that is available," Raybin said. "Until you have lawsuits like this and can bring significant damages against the school system, you're not going to bring about the change that*is necessary to protect our kids."

Is it like this in other states? I never realized there was a cap.

I wonder if that precludes the Thomas family from bringing individual civil-type lawsuits against individuals in the school that mishandled and covered up the allegations?

I am curious about that photo of CT and ET, sitting in what looks to be at his desk. I texted a few people, asking if they have an app, that can extract the EXIF data (location, camera, etc.). Is anyone able to analyze that image? I'm curious about the date it was taken.
Search for Jeffery's Exit Viewer. It's free and easy to do. You will need the original or copies that contain the data. If it's there it will show up. That said not all pics have exit data attached. I can run it from my phone at the moment. If anyone can great. (modsnip)

I have it open in Bridge...and it has the modified date (today) but the original info is not there. What link to the photo are you using that brings up the original info?

Edited: nevermind. I found the original info. The photo was taken on 2/12/2017.

February 12th was a Sunday. I doubt school was in session. Since it was a Christmas gift, could the picture have been taken December 2?

Every time I come back to the forums I check the LOCATED one first, because that's where I want this girl to show up. Sadly, she's still not there yet. :(

I'm really on the fence about this whole "call the police if I'm not home by 6". If ET actually said that, you'd think it would have been mentioned immediately, in the very first report of her being missing. It's kind of a huge thing to leave out.

I try hard to ignore FB comments because most of the time they're a load of horse doo. Not that we can discuss them here anyway since they're considered rumor, but it does make it hard to keep facts separated from emotions & rumor.

As for the pic of them sitting together at what looks like TC's desk at school... I thought I'd read he was suspended from his teaching position on the 6th of Feb. If that's the case, the date of that pic can't be the 12th.

Just a few random thoughts.

In this video you can hear exactly what she told her sister, because her sister is the one giving the live interview.
For people that are skeptical of the media and what is being reported, this video might help to clear it up for you.

I can't believe you guys burned through a whole thread yesterday, must be hopping in here.

Wow! His comment to the students about the head office being onto him is very interesting along with the comments about him just wanting to single out Parrish. If this doesn't show a history of past deviant behavior then I don't know what would. I have thought all along that this incident cannot be his first -- it is the first time it was so clearly detected. Also disturbed about his lack of teaching credentials, it sounds like the school fast-tracked him into a position without really doing due dilligence, probably because his wife already worked for the system. I've said it before, as more parents talk to their children, more frightening info will probably surface.

He was fast tracked and was a health teacher? Do I have that right? Seems like a dream job for him, if he's into teenage girls. He gets to be around high-school girls talking about a subject that can be intimate, and he is in position to befriend them and already have their trust and respect as a teacher. Ugh.
