This is interesting and I think this could be the reason why there is some confusion about the dates and times when people first got notified. Some news reports may have been just notifications on Monday to be on the lookout and may have not been the actual amber alert.

What I think may have happened is when the wife first reported to the LE investigator about her husband being missing then she may have told LE some things that made them get concerned he left with the girl. This could have happened even before Elizabeth was officially reported as missing a little later that Monday.

Below is the TBI links which has some times and dates stated if they are accurate. The first link is the first one that has more info. The second link has all the amber alerts with hers included with dates of other updates.

Some quotes from the first link that I found important.

"Since issuing the AMBER Alert at approximately 6:00 CST Tuesday,"

"Thomas was last seen on Monday morning at approximately 8:00 AM at the Shoney’s in Columbia, Tennessee,"

"Her parents reported her as missing later in the day."

Great point, Hatfield! I am under the impression that TC was throwing up red flags all over the place with his wife. I think whatever transpired in their home in the hours before TC left, had her on high alert. So the second she realized he was gone, she notified police, and gave them information that suggested he took ET with him. That seems to make the most sense.

Since he told his wife that he was leaving, it is possible that he told her the he was leaving and Elizabeth is coming with him. Yes, that would be crazy, but he wasn't exactly acting in a sane manner anyway.

MCElizabethsSISTER (Kat?), bless you and your family and please know that we've been trying to brainstorm together on this thread with the collective wishes of getting your sister back safe, sound, and SOON!

Question: have the authorities mentioned the possibility of using drones in remote locations (national parks and campgrounds) in order to find them? I know this method has been used in California but due to civil liberties concerns I'm not sure what the laws are regarding surveillance drones from state to state. Just wondering since the FBI is involved if advanced technology to this degree has been considered.

It was the grocery sack with clothes as far as we were told. They also came back and picked up the bag after shoneys set the bag outside

That means that she only has the clothes on her back; the black leggings and the brown plaid shirt. This could be good. If she is able to be seen, she can be recognized by her clothing.

Hi there! I'm new here but have read every post on all threads. I did want to comment that, per your link, the timeline shows TC entered as missing by NCIC at 12:41pm on March 13.

The timeline then shows the Endangered Child Alert for ET going out on March 14 at 4:18pm and then the amber alert at 5:53pm on March 14th.
Is this a corrected timeline?

Monday, March 13:

  • 7:30 - 7:45 a.m. - Thomas is dropped off at the Shoney's in Columbia, TN
  • 8:32 a.m. - Surveillance video shows Cummins at a nearby Shell station, putting gas in his vehicle
  • 12:41 p.m. - Thomas is entered as missing in NCIC
  • 3:06 p.m. Information places Thomas in the area of Decatur, AL
Tuesday, March 14:

  • 3:49 p.m. - The Maury County Sheriff's Department requests an alert
  • 4:18 p.m. - The TBI issues an Endangered Child Alert
  • 4:49 p.m. - The Maury County Sheriff's Department secures a warrant for Cummins, charging him with sexual contact with a minor
  • 5:53 p.m. - The TBI upgrades its alert to an Amber Alert

Folks, I realize hearing that Shoney's hasn't been very cooperative is infuriating.

But please do not contact them.

Let the authorities handle it.

They said at this time they don't have the funds.

Yes. Thank you. The TBI info is correct. Media isn't

Thank you for doing this! This is why it's so important that the info that the media is reporting is accurate. Your input and answering questions is so helpful.

No. The 12:41 is wrong and we have no idea where that came from. Our attorney is working on getting it corrected.

MCESIS......Are you confident that they were seen retrieving the bag? Or was some other business cam capturing the retrieval???? JMO

Maybe it came from the initial report from TC's wife that he's missing. When did you all actually begin to suspect she was missing? Can you tell us that?

Shoneys said the bag was retrieved. That's all we have to go off of

Kat.. The girl that dropped your sister off at Shoneys. Have you talked to her? If so.. did she say if your sis was acting different or if she said anything out of the ordinary?

GRRRR.....they are being very squirrely......unless TBI is keeping info from them under wraps, for a good reason. JMO

Kat, thank you for all this information. We will be chewing over it and matching it up to other things we find, for sure!

My questions have to do with how "planned" this trip was. Is there any information you can share with us about what was taken from TC's house or how much money he may have access to? It will help us figure out if we should be looking in the TN/AL area or further out.

Thank you!

Assuming they came back for the bag that would give LE another timeline to work from, does Columbia have traffic cams? Could be why they weren't spotted on any cameras because the initial timeline was wrong.
