I think it is because they did not hunker down and, instead, kept out in front of the AA.

It is much easier to pass through a place that does not know to be looking for you than to hide where everyone is looking for you.

The above is my opinion only.
I got the AA on.. What was it? Monday or Tuesday night? It was also much later for all phones than when it appeared on TV. In fact I was checking to see why I didn't get it on my phone when it came on the TV.

If they didn't stop but just quickly here and there they could have been 3 or 4 states away by the time the AA went out.

Why would anyone really notice them? I really couldn't tell you anyone I saw out unless they did something to catch my attention.

If I saw them I would think father and daughter and not remember it.

Now if they were acting like a couple in front of me, that I would notice and remember.

No one would have noticed them initially, but once the AA went out I find it hard to believe that there hasn't been a single sighting of them. Half the country is looking for them at this point. It would be way too risky for them to have remained on the road once that got out. I see TC as a control freak, and the only way he could take total control of this situation would be to hunker down quickly and get out of the public eye. Of course, that's just my opinion. They could be anywhere. I just think they stuck to someplace that wasn't too far a drive.

Well, there'd be fewer charges against him if he didn't take her across state lines. He could also be waiting until things die down to leave the state.
Yeah but they have already said he took her to Alabama that very day, so that bridge is burned.

Are we SURE that they crossed the state line, or only that the phone pinged out of state?
There was the pings on both of their phones and I believe I did read they may have stayed in a hotel, don't know if it was overnight. Also the report of him looking for some jobs around the area.

My thought is why hunker down when you are out in front of the warning?

If half the country is looking for you ( I know you didn't mean it literally), then either be in the other half, or better, in another country.

Hey, as I said before, they might be riding a motorcycle on the Natchez Trace (but probably not this afternoon in this weather).

The above is my opinion only.

Ok going on the stolen plates idea it would have to be from same make and model vehicle at junk yard or auto shop any way to research recks involving a similar vehical

It wouldn't matter what vehicle the plates were from, unless they did something to attract the attention of the police and the plates were run.

But the AA only went out in TN and AL and it was the evening of the next day here, in prime time TV, when it went out.

I could have been next to them in Walmart that afternoon before the AA went out and never noticed.

Wasn't it almost 36 hours after they left Shoney's before it went out? I don't think they have even issued an AA past TN and AL.

Okay guys...talking now to owner of Tacky Jack's in Orange Beach, Alabama. Does anyone quickly recall when TC and his wife visited the area?

"Tad Eric Cummins, 50, has an extreme dark side that hasn’t yet been spoken about. The revelation recently surfaced when investigators began deeply probing into his background."

Podcast also available @ link.

Still reading. But this! Exactly like other posters have said he would do.
Yet, other aspects of Cummins’ twisted thinking were made apparent when Elizabeth reportedly confessed to her siblings that she was afraid of him. In one instance, Cummins allegedly forced her on a romantic date with him, on demand. When she hesitated, the pervy teacher allegedly told her that he’d kick her out of his classroom if she didn’t comply. He showed up to her home on several occasions when her father wasn’t home, demanding she hang out with him.

They very well could be in the other half of the country. Like I said, it's just my opinion that they stuck close. It certainly doesn't mean I'm right.

Another example of fear and confusion: While Elizabeth was on her way to meet Cummins on March 13, the day she disappeared. We learned this morning that while a friend was driving her to a Shoney’s restaurant, Elizabeth changed her mind at the last minute and asked to be taken back home. The friend apparently refused because she had to be to work. Elizabeth begged, “please get me home.” If only she had.

Hoping for a safe resolution for ET ,before the next thread !!

I see no reason why this TC should ever be free -- if he's taken alive.
None whatsoever.
He'll always be dangerous to innocent girls/women.
Imo.

I thought about that. He's no doubt a coward and would rather die than go to prison.
