Pickup was between 7:30 am and 8am on March 13. I beleive it is this Shoney's: 2225 Carmack Blvd, Columbia, TN 38401, but Kat knows for sure.

Wow. Never realized they were that close.

I noticed in the surveillance video from the gas station how TC, when he's finished pumping gas, starts walking to the drivers side of his car and stops dead, looking over to the Shoneys, before getting in. Creepy.

No latex she likes FX makeup which is usually latex based.

If she's into the FX makeup - could she have used makeup to totally change change her appearance, and perhaps his as well? She might look a lot older - or he might look considerably younger.

Yeah I remember reading something about TC looking over at Shoneys while at the gas station or something similar.

So...do we know how this whole pickup thing worked? Obviously, ET was inside waiting, since she left the bag there and someone put it outside (according to some sources anyway). Does she just sit at a table, bag in hand, not ordering anything? Did she have something to drink while waiting alone? Does he join her for breakfast? Does he text her and say, "Hey, I'm here. Let's go." How long was she there before he showed up? Was she actually hanging out with a friend who worked at Shoney's (who maybe drove her there), and then he showed up, she rushed out and forgot the bag? Maybe the friend was the one who set the bag outside?

(Just brainstorming. But I think I got closer to the truth the longer I rambled. I dunno.)

I'm not sure that all that is known publicly and I believe some of that is known to family and LE and family hasn't been cleared to share those things, IIRC.

A little better view of just how close the gas station is to Shoneys Capture2.jpg

Ok finished reading the packet, great recommendations given by former employers, not ok ones, but very good ones. I saw nothing on there that would just jump out at me and can't see why any school wouldn't hire him based on what I've read in that.

Now I wonder.. were the references less than honest or was he able to continue that facade and seem to have zero employment issues before now?

If he was really able to continue that facade and really not believe he was a pedophile monster, he likely could convince almost anyone of anything.

He could likely make up a very believable story on the fly and maybe convince people of any story about him and ET if someone came across them and just had a gut feeling.

Him being able to convince himself of things or lie to himself, are very important things. When a person lies to the point they believe their own lies, they can much easier convince others their lies are truth and easily make people doubt their own feelings and thoughts. If a person believes it themselves, they come across as more convincing. Those are the people that can pass a lie detector every time.

The lawyer has spoken to the school. It didn't get any better

I'm so sorry that this is going on. It's bad enough they failed one child and she's now kidnapped by someone they hired With the situation at hand and pending lawsuits, I'm surprised they don't offer to tuition them to another school. The FBI doesn't get involved unless they know there's a crime, a serious one. That people don't see that is unbelievably ignorant.

I was a moderately good musician in my younger years, and it sounded like all pedal or something was wrong with the piano. Anyways, its the tiny video half way down. He 'set up' a classroom so he could be alone with Destiny.

Where did you read that he set up a classroom to be alone with Destany? From what I read at this link, this occurred in the music room next to his classroom.

I wonder where he honeymooned with his wife. He got married in 85, so that would make him about 18 when he married. He did marry young. ET looks a lot like his wife, short, petite. It would make sense he's doing a redo of his life. Anyone able to find out where he honeymooned?

That's the part that frustrates me the most...although TC sure wasn't acting like an intelligent, rational adult when he decided to run off with an underage student, he is outsmarting all of us right now. It shouldn't be possible.
I used to work with children and adults with cognitive challenges, some whom functioned very low on the IQ scale, and many who had behavior disorders. There were times when all of us (staff) were outsmarted by a student--sometimes, over and over again. I thought of those students as "clever." It's sort of like being street-smart. People adapt to their environment and learn how to overcome obstacles to what they want. Determination is the motivator.

Anyway, that's how I thought about the distinction between cleverness and intelligence. IMOO, I believe that also applies to TC in this situation. What he has done is certainly not intelligent--it's irrational. But, he is clever in manipulating his environment to attain his goals, as sick as they may be. Again, MOO.

"But there was at least one incident which now seems like a red flag. Cummins' classroom had become a popular lunchtime hangout spot for some students. Parrish said a large number of students would go to his class, which they considered a safe place to do whatever they wanted.

"He told us all one day that the office had gotten on to him and that we all had to go back to the lunch room because that's where we're supposed to be anyway," Parrish recalled. "Everybody left and I got my bag and got ready to leave, and he said the office hadn't said anything to him, he just didn't want that many kids in his room. It just ended up being he and I chilling in there. I would go there after school.”" http://www.wsmv.com/story/34977042/...udent-discusses-close-friendship-with-teacher

Wow...I didn't know he was 18 when he got married. I find that interesting in terms of possible mindset.

I was just thinking that. ET has traits similar to the wife. Even the squinty eyes.

If your sisters are being bullied at school by adults (I assume teachers?!), then an adult in your family needs to step in and handle this through the proper authorities. THAT should never be allowed to happen. Not ever.

Well that would explain the whole TC support group. If adults are willing to treat innocent kids like that then their compass is WAAAYYYY off IMO.

I've never been too good with math, but he's 50 now which makes his dob year around 1967. He got married in 1985, so that makes him about 18. Wonder if it was a shotgun wedding?

I think he could likely be labeled a master manipulator and likely even believes his own lies, which makes it much easier to manipulate people.

Was that odd in 1985 for some to get married right out of high school? I know as many didn't still do that then. Were they high school sweethearts? If so, to me that would be less likely to be something if they got married right out of high school in the 80's.

Even THIS isn't setting up a classroom to be alone with Destany, it's kicking other kids out of the classroom in order to be alone with her. But anyway, the link was to that Daily Mail article, so that's what I was responding to. I thought the poster was saying that he set up a classroom to be alone with her so that he could sing her his awful song.

If we all started posting links that corresponded to what we are actually talking about, we'd probably have a lot less confusion in here. But...c'est la vie.

If that is what is actually happening, then yes, I agree.
