WREG is live,breaking in to regular programming. TBI currently still going over footage. They haven't been confirmed, but said there is a "strong resemblence." The reporter mentioned it was a white pickup truck with a ladder on top. TBI has also issued a BOLO for Elizabeth in this area. Local news will stream live at 4, I'm sure there's more to come.

Authorities confirm sighting of Tad Cummins near Memphis

[FONT=&amp]The sighting was reported just after 2 p.m. in Collierville on New Byhalia Road near West Poplar Avenue, about 190 miles west of Columbia, Tennessee.
A deputy responded to the gas station and reviewed surveillance. Cummins was positively identified as the man on the tape, according to the spokesperson for the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office.

I'm not trying to be a party pooper, but having been through many, MANY, many cases like this, sometimes "sightings" turn out to be nothing.

It could be the case they did not leave TN. TC could have trashed the phone of the child on a truck bed moving south for security and control reason. Someone may have picked it and turned it on by curiosity, in AL.

I seriously feel they are on a missionary trip in another country. He's done a couple before. It's on his resume. One was a medical missionary. I googled them online and there are hundreds many are from two weeks to three years. There was some that started in March and go all year round for signups. Depending what mission you choose children all the way up to seniors can sign up. They provide you with shelter, transportation, food, and clothing. People from all over the world sign up to do these where chances are no one would recognize them. Most of these are poor countries in need of help. He could have friends from the last two missions that he attended help them. sign up missionary. There are so many categories and countries to choose from, Belize, Mexico, Panama and so many others. Since he's done these before he would be quite familiar. He could have sold that vehicle for cash. JMO

I believe LE had mentioned this was a possibility in the last news briefing as well.

There are several things wrong with your theory. First he didn't have title to the car. You can't sell a car without a title. Second ET doesn't have a driver's license, let alone a passport, to travel any farther then the border areas of Mexico.

They are believed to now be driving this white van, which was spotted by WMC5 crews at the Krystal on Union Avenue in Midtown Memphis. (Source: WMC Action News 5)



Shelby County Sheriff's Office deputies positively identified Tad Cummins, 50, in surveillance footage captured at a gas station in Collierville, TN, on Thursday afternoon.



MPD is on the scene at the Main MATA terminal on North Main Street believed to be in connection to the Amber Alert sightings.

Cummins is believed to have kidnapped 15-year-old Elizabeth Thomas. She was reported missing on March 13.
