If they did spend time in San Diego, why would he go +/- 800 miles NORTH in California to bide their time for a trip to Mexico? There are all sorts of communes and such down in So. Cal.

This is too funny, everytime someone mentions that he wanted to go to Mexico but ended up north reminds me of Bugs Bunny saying he should have taken a left at Albuquerque...LOL

My view is that this man is a Mega Scammer - gheesh - he has his sister thinking he's A DOGGONE HERO (escorting this child so she wouldn't be in any danger out in the big tough world...). He's way beyond ' D O G '. AND THE PART about how he thinks he'll be back with how own wife and kids - that just tells me he's a complete sociopath scammer. He needs to stay locked up forever.

The part about 'I'm a kayak instructor and me age 44 and my lil' bride age 24 here - John & Jo' (OMG!!) - our lovely little home LOL and ROF 'located on the rapids of X creek, Colorado' burnt to smithereens - dang, what luck ! Can ya' spare a dime, oh, and a beer, and some coconut oil and ky and feminine razor'?.

It burnz me up that that poor kid was eating 'flowers' and he gave her Walmart mac' n' chz' for nutrition. Grrr.

He's ordered back to Tennessee and considered a flight risk.

Well, if he went to Decatur AL to get "a boat" and it was on a trailer, people might dismiss the rogue in the search for TC as no boat was mentioned and the plate would be obscured..
I wonder if he had a boat when he showed up at BBR, hence the "I am a kayak instructor.
You don't "tow" a kayak though or take a kayak to Mexico do you?
Hmm... MOO

I'm sorry he's going back to Tennessee. I don't like the fact he'll be in the same state as his victim and JC and his girls. I seriously see him manipulating someone and trying to get in touch with all of them.

You might if your plan is to become a kayak instructor in Mexico. But I'd bet it's not that simple.

He was worried about the criminal allegations at school and wanted to avoid that? did this fool realize getting caught doing these crimes are much worse with more prison time. He is really an idiot.

I have a frightening thought. Maybe he didn't think anyone would suspect he took Elizabeth and he had more sinister plans. Ones that would keep her from ever testifying against him. Then he would 'return' from wherever it was he said he went to think in his letter he left for his wife. I can't help but think that a lot of the things he exposed ET to indicated a wanton lack of concern for her safety or health. I wouldn't put anything past Tad Cummins at this point. The more I read and hear, the more I think it was very fortunate that ET was rescued when she was.

MSM reported the $4,500 proceeds from hocking his title for cash, he used other property as well. Wonder if he did indeed purchase a small boat and put it up for collateral as well.

"Quinn said Cummins told her he has confessed to everything and wants to get his family back."
http://www.wsmv.com/story/35224411/older-sister-of-tad-cummins-speaks-to-nbc-news

I wonder if his wife will buy his story that he was trying to "protect" ET, and take him back, she's believed his bs for 30 years.
I won't be surprised if she convinces herself it's the Christian thing to do.

Wow, that's more detail than the other articles. I don't recall reading where he confessed to everything. I pray for JC's sake that she stays strong and moves on with her life. She doesn't need to waste it waiting on him!

Nothing would surprise me at this point. The story gets more bizarre every day.

My hope for JC is that if she is naïve/gullible/devout/whatever enough to buy his story and/or play the good, stand-by-your-man woman, that she has good friends and family members who will slap some sense into her - figuratively speaking, of course. IMHO.

I hope they got any computers from his house or school. Lots of info on them.

Questions keep crossing my mind....has he done this before? At any previous jobs and the girls are afraid to talk. Would he have sold her to Mexican gangs? His plans were not really thought out and I could see him selling her to save his life....or for money. These are my own questions not from any media source.

The CA attorney is just for CA...he will get a different attorney in TN.

That would be his version of everything.
Exactly. I'm not really believing anything he's saying right now.

When I saw Wife do that presser with the police all around her, my sense is she's 100 percent victim and he's a Really Really Big scam operator - remember he was 'I'm in love with my wife...' to the school authorities when they questioned him, and he'd pose Wife in his classroom for at least that 1 'lovebird' pic' they show (the one with all the hearts around it...). AND omg - THE WAY THEY SUPPOSEDLY SHARED THEIR FB !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Euw.

The vibe I felt from Wife was pure and complete bamboozled victim and she was just cooperating with the police............

I bet he lied to Wife when he FINALLY got booted from the school and cried 'I'm da' victim!!'.

When he got booted, WAS HE - PLEASE SAY NO - ON 'PAID LEAVE' ?

I want to see that school have a complete shakedown and shakeout - from principal all the way down - what happened there is as disgusting as that youtube of those teachers & staff from another public school (the teachers 'talking' about each of the special ed' students........).

That would be his version of everything.

If it goes to trial, there will definitely be some interesting witnesses brought about by the prosecution I would imagine...MOO
