People keep saying that but I've cited to cases where little blond and/or American girls have been kept down there for years and years with nothing happening to them at the hands of the locals.
Kept in hiding or just living amongst the people? I would have a hard time trusting TC to be able to protect her. jmo

Ya I have seen cases too

I think there's a misconception about Mexico. I go a few times a year. Never been hassled. Drove through late at night and through checkpoints with no male with me. Nothing happened.

They have serial killers there like we do. They also have a narco trafficante problem. But they target rich people, typically. The biggest risk is if they drove around for days and got stopped by some corrupt cops. he might have been forced to empty his accounts or he would be beat up. But that typically happens to young drunk guys.

Living. Going to school, having kids. Living. For years. Mexico actually has normal, decent people living there. Millions.

Agreed. I am in no way defending TC, what he did was horrible, however anyone in his family who know of him prior to this crime commited, will say that he is not a monster. They knew him before and they knew him while he may not have been a monster. Us outsiders only see him as a monster. I am sure the sister wants to understand why he would do this and she is going by what he says. But she does seem to have some sense in saying that he has a new kind of routine ahead of him.

I agree.

I thought it in very poor taste to call her "dim-witted" and "stupid".

MOO, but she is a victim, too. She did not say she BELIEVED TC. She said those things were what he TOLD her.

Please be nice. :(. This woman did not kidnap nor rape ET.

It's pretty horrible. It had been going on for months.

Would "a kiss" lead to criminal charges?

No. See the motion cited above.

Actually, even a jetski would pretty easily get you there at Tijuana. Here's a picture of the small ocean fence there (scroll down the article):

http://www.cnn.com/2017/01/25/americas/us-mexico-border-before-trump-trnd/

They'd have to go pretty far out into the motion to avoid border patrol and even then there's coast guard. Wouldn't make it on a jetski.

The charge carries a minimum 10 yrs to life. Cummins' attorney "Mr. Cummins looks forward to returning to Tennessee to face these charges."

I'm sure he does look forward to returning to TN where he has supporters and people he has successfully manipulated in the past. I doubt he looks forward to facing the charges, however.

I will add that I think orange is the perfect color for him.

I'd really hope that he is held in a jail outside Maury County (Columbia)

Would the charges be different in Tennessee??

I wonder if TC will shed a few tears today?

For himself, sure. Dontcha know, it's all about poor, Christ-like Tad?

Disgusting pervy creep. :mad::mad:

I bet they are stroking his ego and flattering him with his "planning skills" and his success of evading them for weeks and he's just a fountain of information.

Oh you know it!

Imo this just an attempt to prime the public for the trial. The defense need a more sympathetic picture of TC than the one that dominates right now. I don't think the press suddenly became overwhelmingly persuasive, I have little doubt they attempted to contact his sister while he was still on the lamb! The timing of her caving to an interview is telling.

I am guessing this was a very scripted interview. Something like this; We need the public to see that Tad also has an older sister, who loves him... Don't mention the minor vic, not once, ever! Do not attempt to excuse his criminal behavior, that will alienate, but do stress that he does not seem to be aware of the gravity of his crimes, and genuinely was trying to help. Stress *remorse*. "

Not even the 12 yr old who reported this whole malarkey, would buy what TC is trying to sell ( via his defense).

His sister did a good job as a part of TC's team. I may have done the same for my brother if asked. (Hard to tell since I never have faced that particular struggle).

100% on board with your statement.

It just amazes me that someone who made so many stupid blunders could manage to avoid capture for 5 1/2 weeks.

He registered for two Motel 8s in OK using his real name and ID.
Got caught on security camera in OKC Walmart.
Didn't wear a hat or a hoodie in the Walmart.
Dyed his ugly goatee instead of shaving it off.
Stole license plates, then removed the plate altogether.
Went to a commune where contributing to the daily work is required and contributed little to the group.
Tried to pass ET off as his wife rather than his daughter.

Etc...

I think he has a weird jawline underneath that beard. So he can't bear to shave it.

Maybe when Mexico got scary, he headed towards Canada.
I don't think Tad is a deep thinker with elaborate plans but makes impulsive decisions.
Thank goodness he ran out of money, as long as he had money, he was flying under the radar and kept moving.

The Daily Mail is sensationalistic, exploitative, and has the journalistic ethics of the average dumpster fire. I want to take a shower every time I finish reading it. Yet I can't seem to give it up no matter how hard I've tried. I'm thinking about starting a support group for fellow sufferers. "My name is MsMtOlympus and I'm addicted to the Daily Mail."

I will go further and say that for all of it's tabloidishness (it's a word....maybe), DM is often spot-on with details that are not reported elsewhere....until later.

I definitely have that grain of salt on standby, but have almost never needed it as MSM and court docs often back up stories in DM.

Plus, they always have the best photos.

MOO

It's probably good he's going back to Tennessee believe it or not CA let's all the criminals out early and too lenient with criminals due to prison, jail overcrowding which leads to shorter sentences because of a new bill.

I hate it here.

Agree and I think its clear by the time he hit Berkley he still didn't have firm plans.

He heard about BBR in Berkley, and if reports are correct he wanted to live there "forever" until they kicked him out.

If you Drive the most direct route from Maury County TN to Siskiyou County CA it's 2,450 miles. He did not take the direct route plus admits to taking back roads to avoid detection.
So lets guess he drove 3,000 miles. How large is the gas tank? 15gal? What kind of mileage does a Rogue get? And what's an average price per gallon for gas along the way? We can figure out how much of his $4,500 he had to spend on gas. He also spent on hotels a few nights....Walmart and food etc.
$4,500 over 38 days gives him approx $118/day to spend

I imagine that he thinks the beard makes his round, chubby face look slimmer (shadowing)... and it covers up his double chin!
