from the pictures and the video I can't even figure out what I'm looking at.
I can't tell which way the vehicle is even facing and I can't see how the vehicle was in flames.
I'm utterly confused. I sadly have been in multiple car accidents and one was a roll over after a person ran a stop sign and my vehicle didn't catch fire.

First..I am so very sorry for the tremendous loss you and all of your family are having to endure. My heart breaks for each one of you.

I see the police has not ruled out foul play so at least they are continuing to investigate all angles.

So please dont give up hope. Hopefully the answers you all thirst for is forthcoming.

Most here can tell you LE never works at the fast pace family members would like them to do and it's understandable love ones want answers quickly.

If she left that intoxicated it would have been very noticable with someone at the restaurant or bar telling her she shouldn't be driving at all. Yet no one seemed to think she had had too much to drink. So that is not adding up.

I'm not sure anyone would be able to pass out deep enough and not realize they had flames all around them. Surely there would be some sign she tried to get out even if unsuccessful.

Do they have any camera footage in the area that may be helpful to ascertain where all she went after leaving the bar or where her vehicle was seen afterwards even if she wasnt the one driving her vehicle?

Only 1% of auto accidents result in a combustion fire. I also think her sitting in back middle could mean that 2 people could have been up front and 2 more beside her in the back.

She had went out Friday night to meet a friend from work in Portland. She left the restaurant/bar at around 11:30pm. Where she was found, she had to drive right past her own house to get there. Her car was found on fire at 0130 in the morning in that parking lot.

@ilovematt I totally get what you are saying but I will say this... Her not coming home for the night wouldn't have been completely out of character for her. While I loved Morgan and was proud of the Mother she had become, I still had to remind myself at times that she WAS just 21 and still did dumb things at times.<modsnip - no source provided>
As I have mentioned before, If this is one of those times where she made an unwise decision, we are ready to accept that there are consequences for that. However, only claiming this was just an accident, which I believe is what the GPD is pushing towards, without being able to tell us for fact WHY she was in Gallatin, WHY she was in the back seat, WAS she alone the entire time, IF NOT, WHO WAS WITH HER and WHY DID THEY LEAVE HER THERE TO PERISH IN A FIRE.

I really hope you get some answers. This is such an odd case, especially because of how her car was found, and especially if she was in the back seat.

I think it's likely that Morgan, being 21, made a bad decision that resulted in her death. I do not at all think she is the only one who knows what happened. I also think it is highly unlikely she was the only one there.

I certainly agree with you @TTF14 As I have told the Detective, we don't care if she turns out to have been the Drug Kingpin of Gallatin TN, or may have had some type of inappropriate relationship that no one knew about...we just need to know. My wife and her family are so broken over this and they desperately need closure. I pray it was not a dumb decision on her part that led to this tragedy as I was recently reminded of something that Morgan said often...her biggest fear in life was "Tripp having to grow up without his mom" and I truly feel that's why she cleaned up her act so well. Unfortunately, her biggest fear became reality but we will not let that child grow up and not know how much his momma loved him. I'm attaching a link to a video in my dropbox. Hopefully it can be viewed and you can hear in her voice how much she loved being a mom and how much she loved Tripp. That's what makes this so much harder for all of us.

Looks like they consider it to be a vehicular crash but are still waiting for tox results.

Portland woman in burned car sustained no trauma

Preliminary autopsy results show that a Portland woman who was found dead inside her burned car last month died from smoke inhalation and sustained no trauma, according to Gallatin police.

No additional details about case have been released although police have described it as a fatal motor vehicle crash.

Investigators are still waiting on blood toxicology test results, which could take eight weeks to be completed, according to Lt. Lamar Ballard, who oversees criminal investigations for the Gallatin Police Department.
