"LEBANON, Tenn. (WZTV) — Human remains found in a wooded area in Wilson County belong to a 22-year-old girl who was reported missing from Murfreesboro, Tennessee by her family.

Wilson County deputies responded to a property on Trammel Lane in the southeastern portion of Wilson County on Aug. 6 after they received a report of remains in the area, according to Wilson County Sherriff's Office (WCSO).

Investigation shows the victim is Mya C. Fuller who was last seen by her family members on July 29 and worked at a Nashville Soccer Club event on July 30."

On August 6, Wilson County deputies responded to a property on Trammel Lane in the southeastern portion of Wilson County after a report of human remains were discovered in a wooded area. Deputies quickly secured the area upon arrival as detectives from the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division, and members of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation’s Crime Lab responded to the scene.

During the investigation, which remains very active, confirmation has been made that the human remains were that of 22-year-old Mya C. Fuller, who was reported missing from Murfreesboro, TN, and was last seen by family members on July 29. Mya Fuller worked an event on July 30 at the Nashville Soccer Club (Geodis Park).

"We had a good girl... that talked to her family every day," Sheriff Robert Bryan said, per WTVF-TV. "The family wants to find out who is responsible for this. They are grieving... they are burying their 22-year-old daughter."

Fuller's sister, Tabatha Fuller, posted a tribute on Facebook, writing, in part, "The last words I said to you were 'I love you very much.' You were my sun baby, and I will always be my sister's keeper… You have earned your wings. I love you so much, sis."

Question: What's the latest on the Mya Fuller case?

Answer: The investigation into the death Murfreesboro’s Mya Fuller continues as the case approaches one year since her remains were discovered in Wilson County.

Fuller, 22, was last seen by family on July 29, 2022. Police reported she worked the following day at a Nashville SC soccer game at Geodis Park in Nashville. Police also reported that Fuller was at Island Vibes on Antioch Pike in Nashville that night and into the early morning hours of July 31. Fuller was wearing jeans and pink Puma shoes.

The case has not entered cold case status, Detective Walker Woods said, but no suspect has been charged.

“It’s still an active investigation that we’re working daily, we’re still following up on leads,” Wilson County Sheriff Robert Bryan said.

Fuller’s remains were discovered days later in a wooded area south of Interstate 40 in the Shop Springs area close to Watertown. Fuller was a 2018 Blackman High School magna 🤬🤬🤬 laude graduate who played basketball.

Total reward money for the case stands at $22,550, said attorney Bryan Lewis, who has assisted the family.

The Wilson County Sheriff’s Office announced last year it increased its reward from $1,000 to $5,000 for information leading to the identification, prosecution and conviction of the person or persons responsible. That reward coincided with a private reward raised by family and friends of Fuller that Lewis said now totals $17,550.

Fuller’s parents, Chris and Tonya Fuller, continue to “hope something will pan out and lead to an arrest,” Lewis said.

[…]

UPDATED: On Thursday, the Wilson County Sheriff's Office held a press conference announcing the arrest of three suspects in the 2022 disappearance and death of 22-year-old Mya Fuller. Later on Friday, more details about the cause of her death emerged.

From that same article posted above, the car was found shortly after she was reported missing. It was found at the night club where she was last seen.

Three young people (early 20s) have been arrested. Two females and one male. The male is the brother of one of the females. All are charged with first degree murder and kidnapping, and some of them face additional charges (such as abuse of a corpse).

I cannot even imagine what her last hours were like. So sad.

Just found out about this sad case.

From the link at post # 12 (Thanks, @TwinkieDefense !) :
Looking back, Fuller's family contacted Murfreesboro Police when no one had seen or heard from her since July 30, 2022. When family and friends called her phone, it reportedly went straight to voicemail. Fuller's family told police when they reported her as missing, that she never left home for extended periods of time without calling or answering messages or texts.

Fuller was last known to have worked at an event in on July 30th with the Nashville Soccer Club in Geodis Park.

They'd become acquainted only in the previous 24 hours ?
Wondering if she was 'befriended' and then grabbed ? :(
Motive was what ?

Omo.

Rest in peace, Mya.
My condolences to her family.
It sounds like she was very loved !

from link - "According to the medical examiner’s report, Fuller died as a result of multiple gunshot wounds. She had fractures in her ribs, a fractured left femur and a bullet in her pelvis. Fuller’s body was found decomposing and no gun was found at the scene."

was she beaten or the injuries to the rib and femur were from being shot?
