I was looking at news reports when this case was first reported. In a video included with one report, a resident states that Vandy wasn’t from that neighborhood. How would she know? It’s a long road with homes far apart from each other. One of the things I noticed when I searched an address is that an auto repair shop pulls up but I can’t find much info on it. The auto shop reminds me of when my husband and I were looking at a home and property for sale. A registered sex offender showed up as being employed for an auto repair shop near the property for sale. I wonder about whether Vandy had a car. In my opinion, it would be easy for someone at an auto repair shop to transfer ownership of her vehicle if she had one.

Do you have a link to that video from the news report? It is strange that they said that she is "not from the neighborhood", I'm curious as to what they based their assumption on...

The neighbor stated her reasoning was because everyone knows eachother in the neighborhood, but you never know. There's been case by case where someone is found a few blocks from their residency, yet had remained unidentified for years.

Could she be Ciara Stacho, missing from Inkster (MI) since August 2014?
I believe her mom’s side is Italian.
Found the obituary of her greatgrandmother who was born in Italy and her last name is connected to Brunetti.

Vandy Doe's NAMUS was updated today - looks like age is back to 20-40 but I can't spot what else was updated. Were there new rule outs?

I guess they are opening up possibilities. She could’ve been short, she could’ve been tall. She could’ve been young, she could’ve been older. So sad. She was just too decomposed for them to have anything to go on. I sure hope somebody comes forward and can help get her name back and have her put to rest properly.

Jahnet Watkins is a 14 year old girl who went missing from Fullerton California in April of 2018. Our Jane Doe was found less than 6 months later.

There is quite a bit of distance, and Jahnet was only 14 when she went missing. But could this possibly be her?

She was entered into NAMUS 11 days ago. And her profile was updated again today!

NAMUS also states that she left from a group home. This might also explain the genetic genealogy hunt for her family members.

We have all seen just how many vulnerable young John/Jane Doe’s came from broken homes. Jahnet fits the original description more than the newer one but if they can find dna for her she should be looked into ASAP.

Jane Doe had been murdered and had traces of cocaine did she not?

Either way, I hope Jahnet is found safe and this JD is identified soon.

May 2025 be the year these girls come home ️
