I would agree with her family. I don’t think the reconstruction looks much like her.

Still so happy she was identified, thank goodness for the hard work of everyone trying to get her her name back. 😭 I remember reading about this case when it first happened, I can't believe it's been so long now.

It sounds like she had a difficult life, it's heartbreaking her family didn't know to report her missing, or didn't care to. I hope LE will be able to figure out exactly what happened to her.

Just saw a Facebook post that tells Yadezia's story. Her family thought she was still alive and said that they had seen the Vandy Jane Doe posters but that they didn't think the reconstructions resembled Yadezia :( She had a troubled life and was never reported missing because Yadezia's friends told her family that they had allegedly seen her.

About the Vandy clothing - Yadezia stayed at Vanderbilt Hospital and got the clothes from there. Seems like we were looking at the wrong Vanderbilt.
The Hospital is part of the school, but you would think maybe the police dept would be aware that when the hospital gives clothes to folks the clothes come from their in house store? I kept thinking it was someone who went to a game and purchased everything... the clothing is all very expensive....but now I'm thinking back to visiting family at the hospital there and their gift shop is loaded with branded apparel.

I hope they find out more about who could have done this to her. I initially thought she was a runner and this was a hit and run. Nothing in the namus report leads me to believe there were fractures associated with trauma. Unfortunately, a lot of folks will try to dump the body of a "friend" who has suffered from an OD just to save their own skin. I'm not saying that is what happened here, but it's a strange case with family not reporting her missing because "friends" said they had seen her around. That in itself is suspicious behavior to me.
