Yes. Thermal imaging ones and also big copters - I think National Guard ones but I'd have to check - sheriff said the helicopters had all kinds of equipment for searching, didn't say what.

ETA: I can't find the article with the thermal imaging quote, just helicopter search by air, so I may have misspoken. I did see this though: "Troopers with THP were on the ground searching as well as using a helicopter to look from the air Thursday."

Additional Army Air National Guard helicopters came in today.

It was reported someplace last night. They were telling the volunteers to stay away because of thermal imaging helicopters and the use of search dogs. It was early evening last night.

When I think back to how rough it was at points for the searchers in Rainn Peterson's case (and from what I'm reading that was smooth going compared to this terrain here)... I'm just hoping they'll all be safe. I don't even want to think about a little 2 year old in there... His clothes not weather appropriate (although they were yesterday) and he must be hungry now, and wet from the rain this morning... :( Refusing to give up hope but I am dreading to see a title change on this thread. :(

monitoring area LE scanners-no info

Has there been any mention of the dogs picking up his scent?

Being the grandmother could show LE the area Noah disappeared from, and the short time frame after his disappearance until LE arrived, the scent and trail ought to be strong.

I am beginning to think Grandmother's time frame of talking to the granddaughter may be off. Grandmother is probably young, not an old woman in her 60's-70's. Is there a sinkhole close to where this happened?

My opinions only.

Please find this child before it's too late.....

If he's wearing a diaper, it will make him feel colder and he may try to pull it off. Hopefully, the dogs will pick up his scent. Worried sick and hope he's found safe and sound and soon.

Long lines to register to search for #NoahChamberlin. Organizers say being reflective vests if possible. #FindNoah

Amazing community! If Noah can be found, they can do it.

According to the sheriff's 5:30 pm update the scent dogs didn't pick up anything. They even brought out more clothing for "new scents" and nothing.

No information about the timeline has been released - just that grandma, Noah and Noah's sister were on a nature walk directly behind the house. Grandma got distracted and Noah ran off. We don't know how long she looked for him before calling the police at approximately 1:30. I keep thinking of Jerold Williams and how far he traveled. Let's hope Noah has a happier ending.

This is just beyond heartbreaking! I have 3 grandsons this age and can barely stand to read anything about it. :(

I know, my two year old grandson is falling asleep on my couch right now to Care Bears. I want to go hug this grandma so bad and kiss her forehead. Oh please let him come home safe. Please, this makes me vomit.

I really hoped to get home tonight and find him found, alive. This community should be very proud of themselves. This is true community spirit. Come on little guy. Be safe. Be found!

This one is so very heartbreaking. I really worry that he went into one of the creeks or ponds already. :candle:

My son is two. I just kissed him goodnight. It definitely makes these cases even harder. My husband was upset that I even told him about it.

I believe LE said that the ponds were cleared. I can't recall for sure though.
