This is how all searches should be,immediate and round the clock.

Honestly, this is the best I've ever seen. This community has it together. JMO.

Interesting that the sheriff himself did the conference instead of Mr. Mapes (spokesperson) yet wouldn't answer the questions reporters left for him this morning. I get that he's probably exhausted and frustrated but it's unnerving. Tired or is something up?

Hopefully just tired :(
So yet another night (in the UK) is here and I have to :offtobed: wondering about poor Noah and whether the morning will bring good news - I certainly hope so! I feel so guilty being in the dry and warm knowing there's a small child out there lost somewhere! :(

P.S. to the 97 guests viewing this thread - please think about registering & joining the conversation

Is this o.k. to discuss now ? And if Noah was taken-- that might be a good development because he'd be safe.
Better than other options !
I doubt that the reason sar dogs cannot track a scent would be that Noah didn't go in the woods-- otherwise le would've been all over the grandma ; and they (le) are by nature of their jobs a thousand times more suspicious than we are.
LE has stated the family is cooperating.
Be wonderful if he is being taken care of by someone.

I think the Sheriff is tired. He's working his tail off--most likely on little sleep. I can't imagine how frustrated he is...he desperately wants to find this child. If they don't find him, its not from lack of trying. Bless them all. JMO.

I think it's hard to teach a 2-3 year old anything that would be helpful in these situations. I think it's more important for parents and caregivers to take every precaution possible. Bright clothes, a whistle. Of course, the main thing is to not let a child out of your sight. And don't leave your child in the care of someone who may not be as diligent. (Though how can you ever really know?)

I don't have an exactly link. I just matched her maiden name with the property owners where Noah went missing.

Thanks, Amy Pond! :tyou:

I agree. What a huge, heavy weight on this man's shoulders. I would rather he be resting or searching than spending time fielding reporters questions.

Low tonight 17 degrees. Sheriff says search teams will be smaller due to weather bc he doesnt want anyone hurt. Volunteers asked to bundle up and dress accordingly. No hot meals will be provided. - per local 24 news, TN.

I really can't read the animal posts...... Thinking that he tripped and was injured close to his starting point, unseen because of ground cover/rocks/drop off area. Please be found soon. Bless the searchers who have been out there, and those continuing through the night.

I know! That's turning into the best scenario right now. However, if those rumors had merit, would the Sheriff be moving land and water and exhausting national resources to find Noah? We are talking LOTS of man hours for community volunteers, LE, national guard, so many agencies involved. They are spending LOTS of money looking for him. I totally believe the family is being straight with everyone but if someone was crying wolf, it would be dam shame! JMO.

IMO it's a safe bet that LE has interviewed all the family and are proceeding with the search because they believe Noah is lost in the woods. IIRC, the search for Lonzie Barton ran up to around half a million dollars. This one will probably be somewhere up there too. I don't think the sheriff or TBI would risk the safety of volunteer and professional searchers and spend money on helicopters, dogs, etc. if they had a reasonable belief that Noah was not in those woods.

I am still saying he is not in the woods.

The search has been too intense and ongoing for this baby to have been missed. The dogs are not going to pick up a scent if he wasn't there to begin with.

The better question is to ask where have the dogs picked up Noah's scent? With all the dogs that have been brought in to search, it is beyond my wildest dreams that not one of them hasn't given his handler a positive hit.

My opinions only.

Looking at the map of the area & putting myself in that place. We have acres of hilly woods in east TN & have taken our son out in the woods since he was little, but always hanging on to him when he was little, and here's why:
Some of the old rotted out stumps are HUGE. I have gone up to my thigh in them and in the fall & winter you can't see them at all. A little child could easily drop down into one. I don't know how old the woods are that they were walking in, but it looks pretty heavily wooded. Terrible thought, but it came to mind as I was going through the 'known' details in my head. Pray he's okay & just too scared to come out.

I don't necessarily think Noah is in the woods either.
I think every day and every hour that passes begins to point to someone having taken him.
My most fervent prayer is that he is warm and safe somewhere with someone who really wants him. And that he would never be harmed in any way. I know this is harming everyone else who loves and wants Noah home.
Please if someone has him dear lord bring him home, leave him somewhere safe.

bbm - but do you believe that his sister is lying?

I don't.

Lonzie Barton's sister was 4 years old.
Seems she did everything she could to help law enforcement out.
While grandma and the 4 year old sister to Noah were talking, someone he knew might have been spotted by him. Or someone he didn't know may have lured him in once he wandered away. We know he could have covered a lot of ground before he was even missing officially.
I really do think someone has him.
