Can someone explain why they wouldn't just tell the public what they recovered that proves he was definitely in the woods? I am confused on why the public knowing this info would harm anything. But maybe someone here can explain that to me.

You'd think if they found a shoe or something...by telling the public, it might calm down some of the crazy rumors. So I just don't get it at all.

Wonder If the evidence found was in a spot that had been previously searched and was gone over again.

Did they say why such a large area? Surely a two year old could have not walked that far.

That's only a half a mile in each direction. I think he's much, much further away than that.

What's the post say? :)
"Evidence found" and no comment because pending investigation... Very hopeful. Kind of just confirmation of finding 'something'.

I couldn't visualize 1,000 acres so Googled it. It is 1.5 square miles.

IMO they kept expanding the search every time there no signs of Noah.

#FindNoah: Evidence has been recovered in the search area. No other details on those leads available due to ongoing investigation

Am I the only one who sees a difference in "evidence" and "leads" ?

They don't want copycats? What if they found a sock, and showed the pic of the sock, and some loser took an identical little sock and pretended they found it in a dumpster nearby?

I really hope that isn't the only distance they are checking because he could have gone farther.

Thanks, I didn't know that. 1000 acres sounds like a huge area! Why do you think he is further than that?

1000 acres did seem like a huge area until Jenna converted it into miles! I think he could have gone farther too just trying to find grandma and sister.

I agree I would have thought it was much further than a half mile each direction?

I think he might have been further than that by the time the first searchers arrived. I don't think it takes a "rambunctious handfull" of a little boy long to cover 1/2 mile.

Hmm Evidence? To me that sounds like they found something physical...leads can be verbal etc.
I hope they are close to finding him.

I have walked to my mail box with my grand daughter who is the same age as Noah in less than 20 minutes and its 1/3 of a mile away..and we walk back in less than 40 minutes. That is at her pace, mine is a lot faster..and this is taking our time looking at things etc.

Maybe it was something that would be upsetting to the public who is following the case very closely. I have no idea. I'm just brainstorming.
