The two people at the center of an Amber Alert in Tennessee were found.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation issued an Amber Alert Thursday night for a missing 23-month-old girl after they said she was taken by 37-year-old Matias Martinez.

Friday morning, after the help from a tipster who saw the two, officers were able to track the two down.

The toddler, Octavia Shaw was found safe. Martinez was taken into custody.

Thursday afternoon, Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office deputies were conducting a traffic stop at the intersection of Dayton Pike and Boy Scout Road.

The vehicle was driven by a woman with Shaw, her granddaughter, and Martinez inside.

Deputies asked the Martinez to stand by near the roadway in the shade with the infant while they detained the woman for questioning after finding out she had open, active warrants.

During the course of the questioning, investigators said Martinez left the scene with the child.

They were located within walking distance of my home, and had apparently spent the night outside. There are plenty of wooded areas and a creek where they were found

So glad she was found!

This is my own opinion/speculation. Maybe Martinez had warrants out fir his arrest in TN or another state. He panics and takes off despite holding the little girl. If he puts her down, she may cry and he gets caught. He decides to take her. Also, if he ran with her, the chances of LE shooting him while he's holding OS would be slim to none. He used her to protect himself. Last night,I did find something about either him or someone with the same name getting arrested for drug paraphernalia. Since I'm not 100% sure it was him I didn't post a link. If it was him, he may have warrants out for his arrest. He could have fled MA and knew someone in TN and was hiding out there.

I'm wondering if he's possibly undocumented or has out of state warrants. I will brag on our local LE- they were out all night searching and had a command center set up at the site of the traffic stop.
This is a rural/suburban area with quite a bit of wooded area that one could hide in, or they could have hidden in a barn or outbuilding

Glad she was found! It’s concerning the pair she was with - not sure what the connection is between the adults. And the warrants on the grandmother. Hope Octavia is placed in a safe environment.
