The victim's family members hope his arrest and capture will at least bring some healing as they deal with the loss of this 24-year-old father and husband. Even in death, Phillip Green is surrounded by loved ones...

Nicole knew her husband was meeting childhood friend Marshall Cunningham last Wednesday. “He grew up with him. He trusted him,” she said. But 24 hours later, the family filed a missing person's report and then soon after learned he had been murdered, shot in the back of the head in Franklin County and dumped in the trunk of his car found in Marion County.

A man accused of murdering a friend in March of last year pled guilty to second degree murder in Franklin County Circuit Court Tuesday and was sentenced to serve 24 years in the Tennessee Prison system.

Marshall Cunningham, 27, pled guilty to the second-degree murder of Phillip Green in March of 2006 in the Jumpoff community near Sewanee.
