I don’t think an aunt, cousin, or any family is going to be allowed to take her without extreme vetting. First, I would think his side of the family is mostly out of the question. LE and prosecutors don’t want her being coached on how to feel about this or what to say. And clearly, since the other siblings are also not currently with the mom, some investigation of her is also happening. Again, they wouldn’t want SLP to be coached by her side of the family either.

The best place for all of the kids right now is a neutral, loving foster home until a full investigation is complete.

Agree. I more wonder where they are in terms of support and standing up for her. We would not know that though most likely, nor hear it.

Going just a bit sideways on the subject, I believe the mom is an only child. I cannot remember where I heard or read it but I THINK it was in the podcast of the biodad. For that reason, her own side of the family may not be very big or few exist and if they do, it would be aunts and uncles of mom's which would be even more distant from SP in terms of closeness/blood ties. Not sure of her parents/who would be SP's gma and gpa if they exist or where.

Not trying to violate TOS and not sleuthing, just saying I wonder who this girl could have turned to or if there were no options other than his family which for obvious reasons, she may not have. Or, even though I think she needs to possibly be charged, if mom had anyone to turn to either for family, etc. which would create a bit of a different dynamic and add to the feeling of being trapped.

Forgive me if addressed, just now catching up on past comments.

Just stopping in to check the status of BR, looks like an arraignment today? I'm working and try to keep up with a few cases, the wheel came off the bus with the Kelsey B case in CO.

RP's next court appearance will be interesting with the gag order in place I wonder if we will learn much of anything? Calling all Legal Eagles :D

Grand jury indicts Madison man on charges of sexual exploitation, lying to FBI
Bryan Rogers, 31, was initially charged in a federal criminal complaint on Feb. 4 with the sexual exploitation charge. Prosecutors had said they were also considering seeking an indictment for taking a minor across state lines for sexual purposes, but instead the grand jury indicted Rogers for allegedly lying to FBI agents.

Rogers will be back in court Thursday, when he will likely enter pleas of not guilty to the charges in the indictment, and trial dates will likely be set.

I wonder if the state will pursue separate charges? Why is there no kidnapping charge ?

The KB case I think I am going to have to give up catching up on and just go to the most current page. WOW. I have been trying but no way ever I do not think. And so I have not checked other cases as much either, including this one from trying to catch up on that one.

Thank goodness they did not blow up at the same time, I would never catch up. Yet in the same sense, sad there are this many evil that have walked amongst us to even follow.

I hope and pray for this victim and all others.

If the state should bring charges of SA or whatever else is applicable, would both the federal and state cases proceed simultaneously, or would the federal case go forward first?

A federal grand jury indicted a Madison man Wednesday on charges that he coerced a 14-year-old Tennessee girl to make child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 and that he lied to FBI agents when they questioned him about the girl’s whereabouts.

Rogers is accused of persuading the girl between Dec. 24 and Jan. 13 to video record herself being sexually assaulted by a man in her hometown of Madisonville, Tennessee, whom she said had repeatedly assaulted her, then having her send the recording to Rogers.
[...]
Court documents state that Rogers drove to Tennessee and picked up the girl on Jan. 14, then drove her back to his mother’s house on Madison’s North Side, where he kept her hidden until police found her there on Jan. 31.

Earlier that day, FBI agents had visited Rogers’ home, and he told them the girl wasn’t there. The indictment states that Rogers lied when he told agents that he had communicated with the girl only through Facebook and a gaming platform called Roblox; that he did not drive to Tennessee to get the girl; that he had last visited Tennessee in 2010; and that the girl was not at his home.

Just thoughts...

But they have time to charge him with any other charges...

He has a very well known attorney for such cases...

He may very well like if anyone is following the KB case may have some dam*ing evidence against RJP. Or testimony. Hearsay is one thing but excited utterances and other things can be allowed when hearsay... Lawyers could weigh in on this here because I do not know but have seen it, and federal versus various states may differ.

Like it or not, there has been some time/years she was being molested and SP may well have had a bit of a clue as to who she was leaving home for and been in total agreement. In no way do I mean she can consent at her age, just that it may mitigate in some ways or could.

I at 12 or 13 was so naive it was scary, this child if to believe it started a decade or more ago, has known far more than most of us who did not go through what she has in her own home.

After reading the KB preliminary hearing things, if KK can be cut a deal it changes one's perceptions... I guess make a deal with a possible devil to get the one that is a devil for sure...

jmo and just my own speculation.

I totally concur with this speculation chili. That's how I've felt as well.

Thank you so much @PommyMommy for finding and sharing the Court updates!

Thank you, I was hoping it made sense. When one's own home, parents, siblings or whatever is not a safety zone, I cannot imagine. Not necessarily perfect, but where you feel safe when it comes down to the basics in life.

I don't believe there's a gag-order on BDR's case. So can we hope to see a copy of the actual Indictment Doc?

VERY disappointing!!!

I wish I knew. I expected more than lying to the FBI. :(

Well riddle me this- KK is going to get away with a lot because she turned on PF and gave information about things she partook in to help kill Kelsey.

While I wish BR had done things differently, he got SP out of that miserable existence and helped her, has his name splashed all over the place in the news, social media, meanwhile, Mr. Randall Pruitt, the actual offender- nary a word in the press about him since his arrest and there's a gag order going on in his case.

Again, not condoning how BR handled this, but let's face it, without that video and him coming to get her and help her mail her letter and video to the FBI, she would probably be shot dead and skinned like her dog by her step father, or she may have killed herself.

It's so sad she had no one else that she could trust in her own world to help her. I think she knew that no matter who she told, even a friend, eventually she would have been forced back home with that monster. At least BR got her out of that situation, right or wrong.

Still waiting for the sexual assault charges on BR.

This is so amazing to me- no gag order on BDR's case, but a gag order on Mr. Randall Pruitt's case. Why?
