GUILTY TN - SLP, 14, found alive, Madisonville, Monroe County, 13 Jan 2019 #6 *ARRESTS*

How can he only be charged with 3 charges of rape: what about all the previous years?
Or are these 3 rape charges, only since contacting her 'helper', and further rape charges, over the years, will follow.
MOO.
I'm thinking these are only the Tenn. assaults. Other assaults were in Georgia prior to move. Possible Georgia could file charges?

For some strange reason, I cannot get that link to open. It briefly shows the page, then goes blank. Weird. All of that to ask, can someone kindly post 10% from that? TIA :)
There's nothing new really, and it's a brief article, but here you go:

The parents of a 14-year-old Monroe County girl who claims she ran away with a Wisconsin man to escape abuse are now facing new charges.

Randall Pruitt, who was arrested in January on a rape charge now faces three counts of rape of a child and one count of tampering with evidence. His wife, Christina Leigh Pruitt, is also charged with one count of tampering with evidence.

[...]

There's a short video of RP appearing before the court and his head is shaved. They also show RP and CP's mugshots.

That's a possibility. Ever since I saw that 3 I've been concerned that 3 rape charges indicates the number of victims. :( MOO.

That is a horrible thought but possible.

IKR ? But could it all still pertain only to SLP? Perhaps more evidence came into the light of day?
That is a horrible thought but possible.

So true and heartbreaking if that is the eventual outcome. Oh bother, I really wish we could better help our victims. Before they even become victims.

I like to think that SLP, and her siblings, will have a much better life now. Knowing the strength of character, that SLP displayed, is a truly wondrous feeling. She is a fighter. She will watch over her loved ones. That I can feel.

TYSM! Do we actually know WHEN the original, 'a rape charge', turned into, 'three counts of rape'? And I realize we are trying to figure out the WHY of that change, it's just so darn horrible to consider some of the possibilities.

If you go to the monroe county sheriff page and go to the inmates link and look up Randall Pruitt you will find that on May 1st two counts of "Rape of a child (DNA)" were added.

This link takes you straight to the inmate search.

Thank you!

Does that mean they have two separate DNA results for each of those (DNA) charges? UGH. Maybe their tampering with evidence did not work out?

The "mom's" offense happened on 1/18/2019, five days after she went missing, per the inmate link. They must have known they were going to get caught sooner or later.

Maybe that was around the time that 'mom' cleaned SLP's room? IIRC we discussed the cleaning of the room and whether LE had been able to process anything in there. I will attempt to locate a link. If I don't ETA, feel free to delete/report this as unfounded information. Off to search! :)

This is total speculation on my part, I do not like to go just out there without cause, but I will admit I am totally speculating here. She wrote a letter along with providing the tape. I wonder if there was tampering of evidence before in her life or the parent(s) swaying someone or knowing someone. Maybe with telling what came before in her life in a letter they had a total watch/tap/sting going on because she advised of how she tried to get help before and what they did? So they were caught red handed when evidence was attempted to be tampered with, whether sheets, witnesses, phones, computers, hard to say.

Or it could relate to the sister and a friend or another sibling, etc.

Total speculation, total speculation entirely and just talking out loud.

You go girl. I hope you and your siblings manage to overcome this and excel.

Attorney: Plea deal in works in Monroe County girl's abduction, rape video

Now he's working on a deal to plead guilty to luring that 14-year-old Monroe County girl across the country to exploit her.

Bryan Rogers, 31, faces charges in U.S. District Court in Madison, Wisconsin, of sexually exploiting a child, lying to federal agents and illegally taking a child across state lines. His lawyer told a federal judge Friday he's negotiating a plea agreement with prosecutors.

With all of the evidence (that we know about) that prosecutors have, it makes you wonder why they would even contemplate a plea deal here? What circumstances will they release about this?

Perhaps one of our lawyers could offer up some scenarios? If they have time, of course. I wonder if @gitana1 might be able to help?

Not an attorney, but I am a mother of a teenage girl. I would hate for my child to have to go through the trauma of a trial after what happened to her. Perhaps this is why a plea deal is happening. Straight out compassion.

Not a lawyer but a plea deal eliminates the need for the victim to testify and evidence exposure.

I totally agree with all of this. And I cannot wait until they really get to work on that 'dad' figure. He is what caused all of this horror. I hope SLP and her siblings are doing okay :)
