no apologies necessary - many wanted to believe in the "good" in BR. sadly disappointed that he was another predator. I was not a fan as soon as the tape info was let out. no decent human would subject a person to rape as evidence IMO. he deserves everything he has coming to him plus the knowledge that he was not a savior to her - JMO

The latest information I've seen is that Daddy and Mommy dearest are due in court July 29.

Will they be appearing together? If this is just on the issue of obstruction, then I would assume so. If this is for everything, then it becomes trickier, and having them appear together might imply complicity on her part.
Then again, even if this court appearance for him is just for the obstruction, just that fact that she is being charged with obstruction implies complicity to some degree on her part as well.

I hope it brings a great deal of relief and peace to SLP when learning of the progress of the court case against her so called parents. I hope she feels vindicated and her life is moving in a positive direction. I also hope she’s been able to have contact with her biological family. At a minimum, phone calls, if not in person visits. She needs to be surrounded by the ones that truly love her in the appropriate ways.

FOLLOW UP: Tennessee Teen. We will not be using her name because she is a sexual assault victim.

The mother of a Madisonville teen who went missing in January 2019 before being found safe later in Wisconsin has entered a guilty plea, according to the Monroe County court.

Christina Pruitt was charged with evidence tampering. Randall Pruitt was charged with rape.

Both Christina and Randall Pruitt have court dates coming up in October.

Christina Pruitt will be sentenced on Oct. 28.

Oh how I hope this 'mother' (and I use the term loosely) doesn't just get a slap on the wrist and probation. You will never convince me CP didn't know exactly what had been going on since SLP was a toddler! It's unimaginable and she should be held accountable too.

Let's hope the plea involves testifying against the stepfather. This could be powerful in getting the maximum possible sentence(s) for him. And in reality, convicting the "mother" on any charges could be legally challenging.

I don't think anyone questions the fact that the mother and stepfather are both monsters. But one was passive and one committed the acts. I think there is huge difference.
