I am not buying that CP knew nothing for 12 years about her daughter's molestation. But I don't believe that CP was evil, uncaring or intentionally cruel. I believe she was as terrorized, trapped and beaten down as her daughter. RP isolated her out there on that farm as effectively as he did SP. She didn't work and it isn't clear if she had a car or a means of transportation. She was totally dependent on RP . I wonder what is taken into consideration in charging her with knowing what was going on and not reporting it. I seems that charging her could have been down by now.
The local LE have been eerily silent in this matter - no mention of any other abuse and no new charges... I personally do no think it is over yet..IMO

I am surprised that the assistant DA prosecuting this case put that piece of information of probable recent sexual activity out in the public domain, based on the opinion of the nurse doing the exam. Where in the world is HIPPA and SP's rights to privacy as a victim and a minor.

Wow! Trying to strengthen their case, and violating a victim's rights? Sit on hands time IMO!

I'm also looking for your post where you count out how many times she begged him not to make the video - for those still thinking BR is some kind of hero...IMO

She begged him not to "make" her record the rape. Many times. Then she finally complied.

Why did he ask her this? The easy thought was because it turned him on to see underage sex or rape. I doubt it.

IMO, this BDR's method to gain full control and power over SLP. Once he knew he had this, he went to get her.

I agree with you and any corroborating evidence or accounts would most likely come from the children and maybe, thankfully. they are being questioned with gentleness and patience.

It was not in the early version of the article - it was added later - someone on WS captured the screenshot of the article. My reaction to reading the first version was just that he did not get bail - of course, when it was edited later to include that information - the thread lit up with comments. So why did they add that? IMO it is because they wanted to dispel any notion that BR was a savior to this girl. JMO

Surprising it has gone so quiet here, but sad and telling in some ways.

The only victim since the start of this has been SP! The abusers have both been identified and charged - RP and BR. They are both guilty of using their power and influence over an innocent child for their own sick perversions.

RP was the devil SP knew, and BR was the devil she didn't, but hoped and trusted in. They equally disgust me. I hope the looking for excuses or others to blame doesn't take over. Let's focus on SP, her recovery, and her justice. She deserves that from us.

Stop it right now (Totally kidding!) as I'm already worried sick how this is SP's life we are witnessing. SLP would hopefully have some type of control on anything further released, right? Any new charges, IMO, should probably be sealed at this point. The public already knows too much. Terrorized from all directions she is.

Hah! I started out opposite! I assumed innocent, until proven guilty. From here on out? Guilty, until proven innocent. While lurking :) IMO MHO
Yes, old habits are hard to break. I'll most likely go back to my stance of guilty until proven innocent as well. Trying to be objective didn't work very well for me on this case.

Can you imagine the courage SP found to go through interviews, a SA examination, and still be strong for herself? I'm hopeful that she did realize she needed to get away from rapist number two. So thankful LE pursued the digital trail to the Rogers' home!
Yes, she is one courageous girl IMO. I do think she realized something was up and pressed him to mail the package to the FBI after 2 weeks of being with him. We may not ever know this but I think there is going to be a lot of evidence from the computer, text messages, emails, etc. that will show the extent of what was going on IMO. I sure hope this County has a super safe, professional team of caregivers surrounding her and the other 3 children as I think there may be more to come about that new homelife after moving from GA. I think they made a huge mistake right there, the nurse for releasing it and the Assistant DA for putting it in the public forum. They have absolutely no right to release that private, medical information, no matter what they want to dispel.

@Jim_M I so agree - I don't want to hear any more horror - I've been following WS for many years and this is absolutely the worst case for me ever. I did not think BR was a good guy ever when it came out he had her since the 14th of January and was silent. But what went on in the RP house (besides what was in the complaint) could be a whole new set of horrible revelations IMO.

I wonder if HIPPA is thrown out the window when a crime is committed? I will have to go look into this. This is a seasoned DA - IMO it is difficult to believe this is a mistake on their part but I just don't know. I wonder if it was part of the testimony at the hearing yesterday? Otherwise, how did they know she said it in the first place?

I agree with you and it is my opinion that law officials are working diligently behind the scenes gathering as much evidence to bring the JUSTICE that SP deserves across the board. I do hope that any further details are held from the media.

Couldn't it be both?

Quiet? Not moi! I feel bad for taking up the last couple of pages. To return to the thread and read about the DA's details just floored me. I'm trying to be good, honest, but am so horribly worried for SP. She has been through way too much. And it continues with revelations that should not be making the light of day. I pray that she can recover, and live a glorious life. All IMO and some kidding to lighten my worrying mood :)

I don't think a medical professional released that information. IMO, it is likely that some type of LE personnel and or advocate was with SP when this exam was taking place and was also there for the results and privy to the information. Those persons would likely be the ones who shared those details not medical staff.

A medical professional can lose their job and or license for divulging such information and that is no secret. MOO

In this age of websites, 24 hour news, social media and the like, it's now to the attention of anyone watching that there is a "community" of young victims that have been sexually assaulted and/or kidnapped. While it is horrendous that there seems to be a new case every month, there remains that "community". Elizabeth Smart's initiative to reach out to victims brings me hope that SP will find solace through the support of others that have been in similar, horrible situations.

IMO you are most likely right with this sicko! Ugh. Sigh. Control & Conquer. SLP will need tons of therapy, love, and reassurances. IMO they have to ensure this!
