This would insinuate she had to have left home by 3:00 AM to get 140 miles away? If my math is correct. If that is true, I’m guessing she had her own room. JMO, I think that room would get cold pretty quickly, with a window open. MOO

That would be roughly correct, since that article said the last ping was between 5:15 and 5:30am.
Well, more accurately, that only shows that the cell phones would have left home by 3:00 am, I guess. Either way, it means the time frame is between the time she went to bed - stated as between 11:00 and 11:30 pm - and the estimated time you calculated.

I find her quote under her FB profile picture very odd. At 14, I would not have typed what she (or someone) typed.
Not sure if I am allowed to share it.
I had great parents, but at 14 they sure were out to make me behave. I wasn't a fan of their rules (or them at times).

Just thinking abt the past tense language...

I remember at one point early on in the MT case last summer, when Mollie’s mom used past tense language & said she felt Mollie’s spirit sitting on her shoulder giving her strenghth. After that interview/ PR, she did very little talking & later public statements were done primarily by dad & boyfriend. I felt at the time that mom either knew in her heart that Mollie was gone, or that her greatest fear impacted her verbage.

Not saying Savannah’s deceased, but the past tense lingo could just be greatest fears dominating thoughts & speech.

As far as inconsistenies... mom found her at 4:30/ sister found her at 5... odd for sure. Def want to know what time parents notified LE.

Yeah, I agree about the verbiage. I have followed other cases where the past tense was used, and it doesn't really mean anything definite. I still don't think we should read too much into that.

As for the inconsistency, it is possible that they initially said "we found she was missing" but in clarifying it was a sibling that alerted them. Or that "we" simply meant "the family" in general. Again, I don't think we should read too much into that either.

That second photo looks like it was made with one of those "make up apps". There are apps you can download for your phone that let you touch up your selfies and add make up before you post them. I think the flowers in the corner are also a feature you can add with those apps. These are really popular among teens these days. Does anyone recognize the flower/know what app that comes from? Maybe we can figure out what app she was using? It's probably nothing, but I often wonder about the safety of those apps because they require access to your photos/camera to use and photos can reveal your location.

MOO
The flower is part of the frame from the app she used.

Did LE definitively state that this was not an abduction? I know they said they did not believe she was a runaway, but did they actually rule out a possible abduction? If this is true then it would seem they have a pretty good idea of what they think happened. What was the source and did they state both at the same time? It just seems strange. Imo
Sorry, I was trying to reply and I'm not sure what was snipped from my post.

Several posts back it was said that LE do not think this was an abduction, and that she is not a runaway.
I'll check back and see where it was posted... as I believe there were multiple links stating this.
Hth.

Don't automatically lump all 14-year-olds together. Some are very close to their parents. That quote doesn't really raise any alarms for me.

If you notice the last public activity on her old Facebook - Savannah Pruitt - was changing her profile photo at 1:07 am on Monday January 7th. This was just one week almost to the hour that she would go missing and that she apparently stayed up that late at times.

She started her new Facebook - Savannah Pruitt - 11 hours later. I wonder what the impetus was to start a new Facebook. Something was going on up to a week prior in my opinion.
This is very common among teenagers, for a variety of reasons. Sometimes they just want a fresh start, sometimes they change friends and don't want certain people to be able to see what they post, or they just want a small group of friends to have access.
And from what I have seen they eventually stop using FB altogether and move on to Snapchat or Instagram which seem to be more popular among teenagers. The general consensus from the teenagers I know is that FB is for "old people." Imo

Exactly. Her weird familial posts are so “uncool” that I wrestle with thinking this was just a faux page she used to convince her parents she was goody two-shoes. Nothing else makes sense.

In the city?
Not uncommon. A classmate my senior year of HS raised a litter of 4 in her garage after mom was hit by a car. Her dad was a vet & she had to get up all hours of the night to feed them. Formula as I recall. I’d think Savannah would be quite attached to him/ her after all that.

That's ok, I was just curious. Usually they don't rule that kind of thing out so quickly, so I think it's significant if that's what was said. Just wanted to make sure.

Her dad said at the press conference that she raised the raccoon last year from a baby.
MOO

Random thoughts: I wonder where the raccoon was kept-- in a cage in the house? In her room? Or perhaps in a pen in the barn? Raccoons are nocturnal animals and scavengers (at least the ones in the wild are). I can't imagine letting one roam the house free at night. If they kept it out in the barn then maybe it would not be anything unusual for Savannah to wake up and go see her pet at night or early in the morning. On the other hand, if the raccoon stayed in her room, without a cage, then I doubt Savannah would leave the window open. And finally, I wonder if her family is keeping her pet raccoon or if they have made plans to re-home him? MOO.

Respectfully, “weird” & “uncool” are in the eyes of the beholder. There are still pockets of this world where it is cool to appreciate your parents. Even at 14.

Replying to my own post here, but I was wondering. They said that the last ping was between 5:15 and 5:30am. I wonder if they were able to get other pings throughout the night up until then? It could determine movement and probably serve to more accurately pin down times. A long shot, I suppose.

What exactly did she write? I keep seeing comments about it but have no idea what the posts said.
I know she was home-schooled, and sometimes kids like this have a very different way of socializing. They aren't necessarily concerned with being "cool" because they are not exposed to the same thing one would see in school. Imo
