We don't know what they told the investigators. They could have given them a minute by minute account for the intire day that Summer went missing along with access to everything they were asked for. JMO.

Do we have a link that say's the family is not cooperating with LE in any way?

He's probably talking about all the people attacking the family and spreading rumors on SM. He said someone contacted LE pretending to be him and said that Summer was in a lake and LE spent half a day searching based on a false tip?

BTW, he spoke about that in msm over a month ago. He also complained about death threats that apparently weren't worth reporting to LE. I think the "hate crew" may be mainly in his own mind. JMO.

Not quite the personal anecdote I was hoping for about Summer from DW...

"Love and prayers to everybody. I'm sure Summer, she would say the same thing. She was always breaking up arguments and stuff, you know me and Candus was having a little argument or whatever she would always say stop you know and be nice and be good. She was...we love her and we miss her with all our hearts and everything we got. We love her and just hope and pray she's safe"

The one thing I did pick up from all that...whatever it was...was that apparently the neighbor who helped them look for Summer that day has changed his feelings about D & C now. And that someone contacted TBI pretending to be Don and said that her body was at "the lake". Don says that TBI called him to ask about that. I would HOPE that TBI had the ability to tell if someone created a fake facebook account pretending to be the father of a missing child prior to them calling the parent to check out the story. If they don't have that ability, Lord, we are in a world of trouble in this case.

They probably did check it out and were working on verification etc---but probably decided to search the area anyways because, why not? They are geared up ready to search but need tips to focus the search target.

I didnt hear him say 'with the boys' ---he said his neighbour was on HIS OWN LAND, searching for signs of Summer---and the boys were on Wells land, down by the creek. JMO

Very true. This is what he said in his interview with CM:

DW: Well, that's why I drove down to the bottom because I didn't even go the house. I went straight by that shed on the bottom.

DW: That dirt road, I went past that and straight down that hill straight to the creek and that's when I seen my boys, and then I see my neighbor, D. Walked to the left side and the boys were on the other side of the hill. I knew, like I say I knew my heart just sank right there. I just I just knew that she was gone.

DW: Well, I figured they was looking all over the house, you know. But I was thinking they probably ain't been around the property yet, so that's what made me drive down there first.

What parents of a missing child gets mad because there are too many searchers and squad vehicles setting up a command post?

I usually agree with you on most things, Katy. But I don't believe for one second that TBI sent out a crew to search a lake based on a tip from a fake facebook account. UNLESS it was a fake facebook account that could be tied back to DW. Now that I could believe.

Summer is missing 2 months, today. Whilst I pray, hope and wish for a good resolution, hope is fading. I have followed this case since Day 1 but the most important information that sticks out in my mind, is, everyone is a suspect. I sure hope LE have much more to go on than we think. To think that beautiful adventurous little girl would have started school and I believe she would have embraced and loved it completely breaks my heart.

Whatever our varied opinions are on DW, CW, A, H, etc... the focus needs to be on Summer and her coming home safely, that is the best resolution we can hope for.

Praying that little angel is found swiftly and safely, Summer Wells deserves to be found and deserves to join her kindergarten friends, go to playdates, do her favourite things, everything else in this case is a mess, Summer, thousands upon thousands around the world are praying and hoping for a miracle outcome, let's hope that happens. I hope her brothers are receiving the adequate intense support they need too and are together. Bless you Summer Wells.

For me, it seems like every time DW speaks, it creates more discrepancies which people then need to spend time on to understand or go back through all the posts to decipher which version is true. That’s a lot of time that could be focused on Summer that is instead focused on unnecessary contradictions. That’s how I interpret people discussing his words and how I understand it being a necessary step. In order to help find Summer, we’d need to know where Summer was last seen… who had contact with her… what time she was last seen. All these things seem to be up in the air, or at least have some legitimate questions being raised about the veracity of the claims being stated publicly, IMO. DW may very well have an alibi, but I don’t believe it’s been confirmed anywhere that we could take it as fact so we are left to try to discuss maps, terrain, and the available statements. JMO.

Additionally, if your child vanishes, they could be anywhere: Close by, from wandering and being injured; fallen down a well or ravine; abducted by a neighbor who had unknown pedophilic tendencies; dragged by a bear; taken by a stalker— what would make you discount 90% of the options and focus on the least hopeful one?

I agree, they wouldn't search it based only on a fake Facebook tip.

But I think that lake was part of the tip because it is a solid choice of a good place to dump a body. Once they get a tip that piques their interest, they are going to clear it. Even if they find that the 'owner' of the FB account is not really DW, it is something odd, that comes to their attention, and they tend to check those things out.

For example, maybe it is someone who knows him and wants to stay anonymous---and is giving correct info about a body dump ?

What if they hadn't checked it out and it was true? I think they had divers already geared up and ready to search wherever they were directed---so they went there too. JMO

These things can frame how or why Summer became missing though, right? It’s not judging him to discuss the facts as the family has stated them to be. DW spoke about the DV incident and he spoke about the SA, while also blaming that particular victim. I have no idea what the family knows, but I know from studying criminal psychology that victim blaming is a method of controlling people and a major red flag. Wouldn’t we be doing Summer a disservice also by ignoring blatant red flags that may or may not have been related to her disappearance? When wives go missing and there is a history of DV with the husband, doesn’t that raise red flags? Not saying the husband is always involved but there are statistical correlations that I think most people very much would love to rule out. JMO.
