Hello! I've been on various message boards and discord to try to find the date of the most recently played call (to be fair, I stopped watching the interviews sometime back). Nobody knows the exact date of the short clip that was recently played. August 1st is when the first interview call with DW was made. Do you know if August 1st is when the three minute or so call was made that has DW and CW in it?
That's what CM states, as quoted above.

Unless there’s an order, LE can’t prohibit it IMO. Freedom of speech/press and all.
I think that you are correct. My impression is also that if they did ask him to stop, he probably would simply because he continues to use his LE contacts on a regular basis for the Cold Case Foundation. I have a hard time believing he would jeopardize those contacts potentially drying up over one case since they work many cases and professional reputations can be the pivotal. IMO.

You can read and decide your own opinions here:

I was under the impression that the second call from DW was made to CM over this past weekend, per the conversation last night? Do you have a link for when CM stated Aug. 1? That doesn’t sound right since that was the date of the original interview and there would not have been time for any public reaction yet? IMO.

They discuss the first phone conversation from August 1st on that part 3 (as well as the three minute conversation). I think the description is referring to the first call date. If you check part 2, it also references August 1st. I want to know specifically the date of the short call that DW made after TIR discussed his first conversation. It seems only CM knows the date of the second call.

I would have to find the links, but I’m certain others here can attest to these facts:

1. In interviews, DW has admitted to his alcoholism and past illegal drug use.

2. Also in interviews, DW and A spoke of CW’s heavy drinking, and DW spoke of her past drug use. A YouTube which was approved here in the past was messaged by CW’s oldest daughter, who showed a text of CW admitting to a history of meth use.
Past use?

Do you think DW's recent behavior would be approved in his parenting classes?

No, you are supposed to show you are responsible parents and responsible members of the community. My advice would be to stay completely out of the media and focus on your kids.

The second call refers to an interview that DW’s step-sister did on YT recently so I would assume the call had to have been placed after that interview. I’m not sure if that particular interview was approved so I am not linking to it.

In one case of a disappearance I followed, the boyfriend was suspected of killing her and hiding her body. The police asked a close friend of his to wear a wire to record their conversations. She worked at the police station.

The police suggested some topics for her to bring up, and once they they came up with a ruse: tell him that while at work she overheard the police talking about the missing girl’s remains being possibly located. They wanted his reaction recorded.

(He probed for more answers about where, and what exactly they said. Notably, he didn’t burst out the door to the police station to see if it was her. No frantic phone calls to her parents.)

The remains of two people have been found close to Hawkins County since Summer disappeared. I’m wondering if the police are covertly monitoring the people closest to Summer and are studying their responses when remains have been discovered.

I’d be interested to be a fly in the wall at the Wells’ home if I were investigating Summer’s disappearance.

Snipped and bolded by me.
Not true.
This call occurred on August 1st, per CM.
<modsnip>

"Join Chris and Truth2Lies.com's Steve Johnson, a forensic statement analyst, to discuss the Aug. 1 conversation between Summer Wells' father, Don Wells, and The Interview Room. This is Part 3. Summer Wells, the 5-year-old Tennessee girl, has been missing since June 15."
IIRC the TIR program last night was scheduled to finish analyzing DW's first call to CM. This was part 3 of the analysis by Steve J/CM. There were 2 earlier parts. No, CM didn't "wait 2 whole weeks" before putting it on his show. IIRC the second part was a few days ago.

But Don called CM before the program, (again), to vent via tantrum (IMO), complete with angry threats to CM that he (DW) will slander him, and accusing him of being a sinner, etc. So, there were 2 calls. After playing the recent rant, CM and SJ finished analyzing the previous part that they had already spent 2 programs analyzing bit by bit. In other words last night they finished part 3 (and the end) of DW's original voluntary call to DM.

I was surprised at how unsubtle the summary by Steve was: paraphrased, after bit by bit analysis of Don's own words, he appears to believe there was an accident and coverup. That an abduction is very unlikely. That the tentative accident occurred while CW was in charge, but DW went to "clean it up", which does not necessarily mean there was a mess. IMO

Upwards in the thread a poster kindly transcribed the entire NEW call of yesterday, that CM played first. That makes, IIRC 2 times DW has called CM, to complain mostly about DW's own contradictory words. Also in last night's call, CW appeared to be heard in the background, sounding quite angry and sarcastic. IMO

Yeah, I think they both have admitted to past substance abuse, just like 21 million other Americans have, or whatever the statistics are now. Actually I think it's more like 31 million who are currently addicted. If you include alcohol addiction I'm sure the number is much higher. Imo

DW did say he had a relapse and used alcohol at least once since Summer went missing. I don't know how they are managing to get through the days. I hope they are both in counseling because it seems like they are at their breaking point.

I don't have a link to this but I actually remember CM saying that DW called him a sinner, etc., early in one of the interviews. I will see if I can find it. This "new" call reminded me of what CM said DW said earlier so I was wondering if this was actually that early call.

I will edit this once I find the video.

There was a post about this on an earlier thread. When the abuse occurred, the statue of limitations was much shorter, something like four years.

ETA: i personally agree with the idea of long or no statue of limitations on these kinds of cases. It's really difficult for little children to get these kinds of cases underway.

I beg to differ:

SA of a child and aggravated SA of a child

What is the statute of limitations for this crime?
1. There is no time limit for this crime. Statutory citation(s): Citation for the crime: Utah Code Ann. § 76-5-404.1. 2.
Citation for the statute of limitations: Utah Code Ann. § 76-1-301

I think he has conducted himself quite well actually. Not to mention we aren’t just talking about someone that only had their kids taken by CPS but someone that is also missing a 5 year old daughter at the same time.

And, according to DW in his TIR interview, CW continues to drink (though she did quit for 2 days). This is not a "relapse" for her, but a continuation of addictive behavior. IMO.

I realize all cases are different and therefore the allowed or expected timeframes are vastly different as well, but what is the average length of time it generally takes parents to get their children back when they have been removed by CPS? Or does anyone know if there is a set time for how long children can be in CPS care before rights are terminated or does that time vary with each case as well? The boys have been gone for quite some time now havent they?
IMO if and when DW and CB get the boys back depends on how seriously they choose to work towards reunification. By now they've been given their "punch list" of steps they must take to convince the court the boys will thrive if they come home.

According to the TN Client Handbook a permanency plan must be put in place within 30 days. That's where the parents are assigned a case worker, lawyer if necessary and a plan for all to follow in order to get the children back. The plan has to be approved by the court and reviewed at least every three months.

If a relative wants to foster the children then they must complete a training course within 120 days.

DCS must provide the parents with appropriate support services. Either the court or a Foster Care review board must review the case every six months.

The children will be released back to the parents only by court order. If the parents can't or won't follow the care plan then other options such as adoption will be considered. There doesn't seem to be a time frame for termination; rather it depends on the actions of the parents regarding their permanency plan.

From the handbook:
Conditions that can justify termination of parental rights against a parent include: abandonment, wanton disregard, lack of concern, substantial non-compliance with the permanency plan, conditions which led to removal have not been remedied or other conditions prevent return, severe child abuse, ten-year prison sentence and/or mental incompetence. Birth parents can request a referral for counseling and support to cope with voluntary and involuntary termination.

Maybe CW is telling the truth and is not covering up anything. JMO.

I used the word, "if" CW was covering up. I did not state it as fact.

Yes. My post is simply giving a different possibility. JMO.
