They sure seemed to stress the fact she was watched like a hawk while home! Seemed overly so. Was there a reason, what were they afraid of!

I have never felt like she was watched all the time like you said. I feel like she did what she wanted most of the time without supervision by what we have learned about the family. The boys were busy with their video games, DW was at work or home drinking or watching TV. CH probably stayed in her camper when DW was at home and CW was in her own little world. I just don't believe she was watched over that much.

I think when CW stated that she walked SW to the house from the camper and leaving her for "2 minutes" was for the public to hear, to make her look like a good mother.

Even if we assume that she would 100% never go explore the woods, she could have bolted into the woods because she was angry (some kids curl up in a small place, some bolt with no real regard for direction) or because she was scared/spooked. JMO. We had to put special bolts on our exterior doors because my-then 4yr old (completely neuro-typical, just a bad temper) had an intense urge to run when angry.

In other words, how a young kid behaves normally isn’t necessarily a prediction of how an angry or terrified child reacts.

Look at the woods, look at the terrain

Or maybe she decided she wanted to go back to the swimming place! She may have been warned not to go into the woods but 5 year old logic would say "I'm going to walk on the roads we just drove home on, not in the woods so I'll be fine"

That’s the most likely scenario to my thinking.

I believe SJ, CM’s linguistic specialist got it right when he said between the lines, DW already told them what happened:

CW created a mess, and he had to clean it up.

bells are going off, everything lines up with this layout.....
remember the comment of "she put her in her car" , of course once DW was home she told him , and the plan is in motion,

Does anyone truly think Summer was abducted by any dogs or coyotes? Even with search and rescue and law enforcement? No remains, blood, clothes, noise, disturbed brush, etc? Could this have happened to Summer in this place and this day?

Nope.

They sure seemed to stress the fact she was watched like a hawk while home! Seemed overly so. Was there a reason, what were they afraid of!

I would say that is a natural defensive reaction, not necessarily that they were afraid of anything but just desperate to get the focus onto what they believed may have happened.

Of course, if Mom had said that she did not have Summer in her sights whilst doing, hanging the washing for an hour or so - all of which would be understandable and normal - there would be another window of opportunity.

SMK777 - I'd love to hear this commentary by the linguistic specialist which I must have missed before. Do you know which video it is? TIA!
It was the Interview Room where it was just CM and SJ.

And his analysis was in the closing 10 minutes.

Let me find the video:
I believe it’s this one:

Surely they would have records of the Subaru and Grandma's truck and whatever other vehicle ran on the place.

In the Morphew case I was surprised when they even knew what time the truck doors opened and closed. It just seems to take so long.

Do we know how old the trucks were? If they were older, they may not be equipped with the newer trucks which have the technology that enables to see such things as doors opening, closing, etc.
I have a fairly new Subaru & I’d think somebody would be able to retrieve the activity involved with the car (driving, doors opening, etc.) but not sure about the older trucks, or if this information is possible to obtain without “ONSTAR” or another service like that

Just a general plea to anyone who may be reading here.
If you think you saw or heard anything about this case, please call 1-800-TBI-FIND.
If you're out on the roads and see something just call 911.
Someone has to know something.
This has gone on way too long.
I can't understand why no one has given law enforcement the tip they so badly need. :(

DW said in the TV interview (as though talking to the boys), "where's Summer? Go get Summer."

If the adults were watching SW like hawks this would never have been said.

I'm going to say it.
I'm losing hope.
They need to locate her.
I mean sure there are surprise finds and a child makes it home safe.
Summer is so young and small.
Remember when TBI warned people mowing that they could be looking for 'something' the size of a folded laptop.
People have diligently searched their own properties over and over.
The driver of the truck they are looking for as a witness only hasn't been found either.
So many rumors, it's just so troubling.
I want her found, one way or the other.
I admit we're probably waiting on the inevitable news most of us feel is coming.
Someone do the right thing.
Man-up or perhaps even woman-up.
Let law enforcement know where she is.
I'm basically begging at this point. :(
The seasons are about to change.
Summer should've been getting ready for fall and then Christmas.
Instead, she's likely not ever going to get to enjoy those simple childhood pleasures again.

I hope Summer is found soon, too. I pray for her to be found.

ETA: has anyone even reported a sighting? Even if it turned out to be false? I understand SW might be dressed as a boy, but some people have sharp eyes.

ZERO sightings that I've heard, Unusual. MOO.

The Amber Alert is still active.
Where is she?
Please someone do the right thing. There's always time to come forward with information.
If someone has caused harm to this innocent little girl, it's going to be better if you just admit it.
I fully believe law enforcement will find the truth.
It can't go on forever.
Yes Joe Clyde Daniels remains have never been found, but a family member is in prison.
In other words, it doesn't take a body to make a case. Those days are over.
Every time any action takes place, evidence is left behind.
We in TN are tired.
It's been a long hot summer of searches.
The conditions of the search areas are treacherous at times.
The morale of the searchers is becoming lower every week, every day.
Look at this flyer carefully. She's so very small.

ETA yes there have been false sightings. None of them are Summer.

@chihuahua , thanks for the info about the false sightings. I know these are disheartening, but they prove people (not LE or searchers) are noticing if a child looks similar to her.

My thoughts on this case today:

Whoever has committed this crime, has done a great job of hiding SW whether she is still alive or dead.

If SW has passed, was it an accident? Where could her body be found? In the lake or somewhere else?
If SW's parents were involved, when did they have time to get rid of her body? Between 3.30pm and 6.30pm?
I don't really believe that SW was abducted either by a stranger, family or friend, eaten by an animal or got lost in the woods. However, if SW was abducted and is still alive, is she in TN, another state or in Mexico?
Has this person committed the perfect crime?
Will this case go cold if LE cannot find out where SW is?
Will DW be charged with SA in Idaho and end up in prison there if found guilty?
Are the parents lying? Or are they just bad time keepers? If they are lying, why have they chosen to lie? IMO it makes them look guilty.
Is DW a narcissist who makes SW's disappearance all about him rather than SW? If CW is covering up for DW, I worry about her safety.
