There has been extremely severe weather in the Nashville viewing area since before the hurricane. It has been hard to impossible to even drive places. This new rain/tornadoes from the hurricane is bringing new problems. People are dead, missing, etc. It is very bad.

Rogersville, TN, where Summer lived and disappeared from, is nowhere near Nashville. It must be at least 175 miles in distance. So I am not certain of your point.

I just took this to mean that he's relying on God's help - not that he is literally hiding behind the church building. There's a verse in the book of Psalms that says "You (God) are a hiding place for me; You preserve me from trouble; You surround me with shouts of deliverance." (Psalm 32:7).

Maybe that's not what DW meant, but having grown up in a Christian home and working in a church office for 20 years, that was my first thought when he said it. IMO

IMO: Like many people, when you have a tragic experience which people around you have no control over....you start looking for comfort, help, no judgement in other places. Don may have done that because he truly does need something to lighten his burden. One minute you have a family, children who love you in ways other people will never then the next minute it all vanishes.

Summer Moon is a beautiful child. She is in his world for a reason. Is 50K ransom or to cover the 45K reward? Hope and that she is alive and the LE has her in protective custody and removed Don. Compassion and justice for Summer Moon Utah Wells, I love that name.

My apologies in advance, but I've had to deal with other things and don't have time to catch up on details, let alone read through the entire thread(s). My basic question is...has there been any real develpment in this case? What's the story about the boys? Were they taken away?

Again, sorry for not having time to catch up. I realize that I am asking for the 'short update' without putting in the time and effort.

The boys were removed and placed into, presumably, foster care over a month ago. There are no new updates. DW has been blabbing on various YT channels, mostly about how much Summer loves him. There was a flurry of rumors and vague messages on YT today, but nothing came of anything.

Summer remains missing.

to be honest there really isn’t any. Boys were taken by CPS but there is a gag order in regards to that

Yes.

In custody they give you a chance to answer questions. If they have nothing on you and if they are satisfied then you can leave.

Arrest means, you get free bracelets and you'd better have dimes for one phone call and remember your lawyer's phone number and whom they should contact for bail, or bond.

With the new system in the 21st century, no money, get out of jail free card, people are back home before you know it committing the next crime.

I honestly think that this is the strangest, most infuriating case I have ever tried to follow in 11 years of being a member here. I do NOT understand why the father of a missing child would get on youtube and talk talk talk, about everything under the sun, except for his missing daughter. Oh, the tip about the red truck yeah that came from me...yes it was the morning of June 15th...no wait, it was just 6 days ago...oh, my daughter only wanted me, my wife had to coerce my daughter to love her, but I happily worked 7 days a week to afford her that opportunity...Oh sure, I ran drugs across the Mexican border, but I'm a good person...sure I had a "relationship" with a 5 year old when I was 12, but she initiated it... I had no idea there were so many drug dealers in the area I've lived in for 13 years, but yeah, now that I know, I go and talk to them on the reg. you know, to find my missing daughter...oh wait, did I tell ya'll about the woman who was hiding under a blanket in the truck and never brushed her hair ? See what I'm dealing with ? And then on top of all that, my wife drinks and I have to babysit her. It's all so hard on me.

I can't answer your question, exactly, but I've talked with lots of victims of crimes (including family of missing persons who where there's a criminal investigation) and all I can say is that we not in Don's shoes. I don't know why he does what he does.

Some people believe that the loss of the their loved one is a kind of sign of punishment from God or other supernatural forces. It's really common for people whose kids are missing to start soul-searching. Don has confessed to a lot of things in public now, probably because he feels terrible and wants to be truthful. His grasp of his own reality isn't the tightest and I'd wager it's been quite some time simce he really had a grip on things.

Possibly never - he was obviously a rather disturbed/atypical 12-year-0ld. His life has been rocky and messy. He's partly grasping at straws (woman in the back seat) and perhaps misremembering. I have never had a family member go missing, but I have had pets go missing and did not give up looking. I wasn't always in the best state of mind or completely sane (and this was just my beloved dog, not a child).

I think his wife does drink (he threw her under the bus, obviously - but when a child is missing, every thread is grasped).

It's all so terribly sad. I have no idea where Summer is, and I don't think DW is up to the task of managing his own public presence. I'm not sure why you find it maddening. He seems not to have the answers we want (where is Summer??) but I can't take it out on him, at this point.
