I apologize for jumping in here on a thread that I am not at all familiar with. I have to say though that this is one of the most concerning, confusing, entertaining, enlightening, or disgusting posts I have read here yet. :) (and I say that in good humor - I hope.) I've been lurking on this site on and off now for many years before I finally opened an account so I have read a wide variety of posts and discussions. The mix of emotions I've felt while reading those is hard to describe - as I am sure many if you can understand. Yet I really can't decide if this post should serve as an eye opening example of how others might live differently than myself, or should maybe be cross-posted to the thread about best recipes you've found during the COVID lockdown as a cheap way to mix up some cottage cheese, or is maybe more disturbing than the rabbit hole thread I found and got lost in from the parking lot or basement or jury room or something (sorry, I forget how and where I stumbled across it at the moment) and dove into the other night about a creepy abandoned house found somewhere in like New Mexico or Arizona that had women's clothes & undergarments tacked to the walls with disturbing comment written beside them (take my word for it, it was creepy!). I'm sitting here with my eyes wide open at the thought that leaving your milk out might be an actual acceptable practice, my mouth agape as I compare your milk to the chunky milk I sometimes find in a day or two old half drunken (drank?) glass in one of my teenager's rooms, belly laughing if this might actually be a comedic post, and my stomach churning at thought of any of the above. ...all at the same time! Seriously, my body is a mess at the moment. :)

If there's some kind of best post award available, I nominate this one! Thank you for making me think and reevaluate so many things in my life tonight!!
If someone has drunk from the glass, then that person has introduced bacteria and acids from his or her mouth; that is what would make the milk get "chunky" quickly. Milk in a closed container should stay good for at least a couple of days (but not if someone has drunk straight from the container). Horizon Organic ultra-pasteurized milk lasts the longest untefrigerated (but it's fairly expensive).

If the windows were down, wouldn't the air flow keep the jugs dry?
Not while they were still cold.

ETA: i know it sounds logical that the airflow would make the condensation evaporate. These are two large gallon jugs and it is 81 degrees. I saw one window partly rolled down. Maybe CH's is partly down, too. But, i guess it would get rid of some of the condensation.

While the milk was cold, it would sweat. When it stops doing that it is hot.

Leaving milk out in a house is totally different than having it in a car. But, i would pour my milk into a glass and leave the glass out if i wanted to drink not-cold milk. Then it would last more than two days. (Not trying to be a smarty pants, just saying.)

Also, this is whole milk, not 2 percent. It has a higher fat content.

People who drink directly from the milk must go buy their own milk. I am not sharing with them.

If there is condensation (moisture) on the outside of the jug, the wind would dry it.
Okay, i understand this. I have a car. It has windows. I can roll them down. Cold stuff still sweats. This has been my experience. Come see me, bring your car, we'll ride some milks around.

You would also need to know how fast CBW was driving to approximate the airflow.

It may sound nit-picky to some but in the absence of receipts, CCTV or other evidence, condensation could help prove or disprove the truthfulness of the timeline. It could show that a larger span of time had to have elapsed in order for the milk jugs to be dry. While I am hoping that LE has the data needed to answer this, it is known that the area the Wells live in has poor to no cell phone reception in places.

I'm not really concerned with the groceries or the candy.
Sure I think the milk was probably getting warm by the time it made it inside the refrigerator.
I'm concerned with the apparent differences in timelines, etc.
Someone has to know something.
If you're reading here and wondering if you have any information that could lead searchers in the right direction, call the tipline.
1-800-TBI-FIND or call 911.
This case doesn't have to become a cold case. :(
Summer is beginning to give way to early fall.
We desperately need answers.
Whatever it takes, but we have to wait on official law enforcement updates.

ETA I feel nervous talking about Summer Wells every single time. I've lost lots of sleep thinking about this little girl.

I PRAY that someone, anyone speaks up for this little girl. Summer deserves so much more and it's been so long now.

I took almost a weeks break. I was to the point that I wasn't sleeping well and I found myself crying when I couldn't. I feel so much sadness here, now at this point than I have ever while following a case.

Please, please remember to take a break when you need to and take care of yourself mentally and emotionally.

And to whoever is lurking in here and reads this and knows anything, JUST CALL AND TELL WHAT TOU KNOW, STOP BEING A COWARD, DO WHAT IS RIGHT FOR THIS CHILD!!!

WHERE ARE YOU SUMMER???????

Absolutely!

I have felt the presence of a lurker. Dear Lurker, you could save little Summer's life. We want to, but there are so few clues that have been given.

@hdo82 , i have felt especially nervous tonight. It might not seem like it. But, anyway, take care of yourself. This is a tough case.

I think other threads (eta, bad word choice, not threads on the forum) are connected to it somehow. These might be things we could research, but i don't know if they would directly help little SW.

So added to things we don’t know: her height.

I’ll just make a list of things I don’t know.

- Summer’s height
- time Summer was last seen
- Summer’s weight
- if Summer changed clothes when she got home
- if Summer actually got home
- if the dogs were home that day
- where the boys were throughout the day
- when/if DW worked that day
- when Summer put on her swimsuit
- what the kids ate that day
- if a red truck was involved
- what day a red truck was seen
- why DW switched cars that day
- when the car photo was taken
- if Summer went under the water at the horse pond
- if SA is at all related to Summer disappearing
- why CH left and didn’t return
- why they bought milk an hour away from home with a car that didn’t use air-conditioner
- why it seems like no one is searching for Summer
- if A saw Summer at her home or not
- where Summer’s aunt is

etc, etc.

Things I do know:

- Summer is missing
- boys have been removed
- CH left the area
- can’t rule anything out

What have I missed?

- if CW and or DW were under the influence of something.

There has been no talk about any drugs taken prior (evening before) or on that day. (Alcohol is a drug.) This could heavily influence your behavior and emotional state.

CM smartly avoided asking those questions, in basically all the interviews. Except for calling DW out when he said that he is sober now.

When I was a young mother, I lived on a property an hour and a quarter from any store. I bought milk and got it home safely. Sometimes the butter was a bit soft, but no one ever got sick.

I know this isn’t the best quality picture, but…the milk was cold at some point, but I don’t see condensation on the jugs or on the drink bottle on the seat next to her. The soft drink could have been purchased at a different time than the milk, I don’t think we know. But why isn’t there condensation on the jugs? The humidity was at least 80% that day IIRC.
Someone upthread posted the weather stats for 6/15 and the dew point was listed 57 ish. That's pretty dry and comfortable for a June day with the temp around 80 F. Previous discussion had me thinking is was a much more sticky day.

It also says that at 1:53 pm the relative humidity was 40% and at 2:53 pm was 36%. It didn't seem that hot or humid by the time they dropped H off.

I may have missed the first part of the discussion but I can't figure out what difference it would make if there was condensation on the milk gallons or not? The picture is out of focus so we will probably never know.

If the FBI used technology to clear up the picture and they couldn't see any condensation, what would they conclude and how would it be relevant to Summer going missing?

There is absolutely nothing to be gained from the milk jugs. Assume they were purchased where Candus said she bought them and were taken home. That's all there is

I don’t think there’s much to be taken from them, but I do think we’ve learned we shouldn’t assume anything about that day is fact. For me, if someone buys milk and it leads to something connected to Summer, that’s amazing. And if it doesn’t lead to her, we’ve lost nothing. All I’ve learned about this case is it makes no sense. Maybe the milk jugs prove the picture wasn’t taken where CW says it was taken (I’m not saying that), I have no idea. But if people can find useful info, my opinion would be verify everything. Even if someone could find this community a single fact, I feel like that would be helpful. JMO.

So this shows me it is very possible Summer was cold after swimming..Has anyone pulled the water temperatures for the body of water they went swimming in ? Also this makes the ,I knew it was gonna be ,hot and the swimsuit reasoning weirder. Not that it matters ,but the milk doesn't either, I dont
believe.

Hmmm... I guess that is true...

I saw a little girl who did look like SW, but she was much too young (maybe 3 at most).

How did you guess 3? I'm just asking because I wonder if our age estimates are wholly accurate with strangers. It kind of dovetails with the height debate. JMO

I’m still not sold on the importance of the milk. The condensation could have been wiped off. And it seems that many are assuming that returning home with perfect, fresh-tasting milk is a priority for CBW/CH. Heck, the milk could have started to sour in the car (very unlikely) and it wouldn’t be noticed until someone unsealed it later - American milk is super-heated and sometimes super-duper heated (ultra-pasteurized).

Thinking about them being at home alone...they don't have a lounge for any of them to sit on and watch tv and hang as a family.
The kitchen table and stiff chairs...thats it.

Even outside where they usually are..(I think)..... there is no outdoor seating to hang together.

They own and live in an amazing gorgeous piece of the world but it's just so...uncomfortable.
In and outside.

<modsnip - no link to support speculation on SW historical health>

(Chris McDonough, The Interview Room, Interviewing Hunter ) What if she looked fine, but was not? What if the the Skittles, Sonic smoothie, resting at the grocery store was to help? <modsnip> "People will always twist what I say." Candus said that during the Chris McDonough Interview Room Part 1 Inside The Wells' Home.

  • At one point Hunter says, she was leaning against the truck door, (same interview).
[Strange IMO.]
  • Then she was later leaning on him, holding his arm. She probably was cold. (same interview)
  • Hunter says he does not remember the milk issue.
  • WAS THE MILK TO HELP SUMMER MOON SIT UP? Her hands looked limp. Is it because she could not control her little body? I think she was sleep.
The "accidental picture" IMO is saying, look she was fine when we had her in the truck."

The Wells are street smart with no formal higher education that they have mentioned. Does educated, generally speaking, mean that a person has more choices for answers, or resources? Educated people know where the answer "could" be found? Uneducated means less "school of knowledge" in which to chose answers. We all need doctors, MD, not PhD., who have many choices of knowledge to draw conclusions in medicine. Sometimes we need a Specialist.

Summer Moon wouldn't have understood her physical state, no choices. She is a baby.
Hunter had few resources to think because he is a child with no choices.
Mom Candus has life experience. <modsnip>
Mamma Candi - life experience. Enough experience to know something isn't right. Let's buy her nan outfit for school, but let her wear it to keep warm.

If she returned home, did they encourage her to get up, plant flowers. Did she only get worse? Did they call for a mid-wife to pick her up, take care of her medically? Old school medicine?

JUST ANOTHER ANGLE FOLKS......the others aren't leading anywhere.
