IMO DW is a train wreck that people just cannot look away from. And he can't stop himself. It's tragic and has given us a very sad look into the reality of what those children have lived through.

It certainly would be interesting if a YT'er could interview someone, anyone, with information regarding the disappearance of this poor child.

Unfortunately they ain't talking.

Someone on WS also confirmed that these vapes taste and smell like Skittles. If these vapes were CB's favorite (she said they were and i believe her, but people can change their minds about favorite flavors of things so maybe some months ago she had a different favorite) the kids in that house are frequently wanting Skittles.

ETA: if vapes were around when i was a teenager, and if i wanted to try them, i would pick a candy flavor. Actually, as an adult, the candy flavors sound kind of good. But, I don't vape.

I'm not so worried about a Vape actually being used as it is intended. There is very good reason for the warnings, and laws for age restrictions. MOO

Could someone explain why this is significant? Seems like a safety feature to me in the same way a curtain would be.

I think he thinks it is significant because it means it's unlikely a stranger was walking by and saw Summer in the basement and decided to steal her. It doesn't eliminate a planned stranger abduction or anything.

Oh ok. Well, a stranger just walking by that door, kidnapping or not, is completely unlikely given the rural nature of the home, on top of a steep hill....

Right but this was what the parents have been suggesting. That "druggies" nearby trespass and maybe one of them saw Summer that day. So if she was playing in the basement with the window blocked, it couldn't have happened like that.

I have never actually seen a vape up close. I just figured the warnings would be the same as with real cigarettes. But, real cigarettes don't smell like candy.

Since you brought up druggies...I find it fascinating that, according to Donald Wells, he's just been going up to drug dealers properties, knocking on their doors and asking questions. Even though he only associates with "good christian people". Let me be clear ( and yes, I know) It does NOT work that way. If he's knocking, they know each other and have for quite some time.

I agree but I have a friend whose daughter fostered two boys around that age. They did everything to make their life happy, they took them places and bought them things.

But in the end the kids just wanted to go home even though the foster home was so wonderful to them.

I think it is the sense of family loyalty that these kids have. Maybe the parents aren’t the best but that was all they knew.

BBM - Sadly, this reminds me of a quote I read in the book "Healing for Damaged Emotions" from Christian author David Seamands: "There is comfort in pain when pain is all you've ever known."

I feel so much for all the Wells' children and the countless others growing up in dysfunctional households.

It may be a safety feature, but IMO it makes a stranger abduction more unlikely since the stranger would be unable to see Summer in the basement and would have no idea of her movements or if she was going to leave the basement. JMO.

You ask the group what happened?

the kids that run up to you and start talking to you usually have little to do with it.

It's the ones that are quiet and you have to ask: "Did you do blah blah" that have the story to tell about what happened and what they knew and how they were involved.

True, but this is what the parents seemed to be strongly suggesting at the beginning. That someone just came on their property and took her. If that person can’t see inside the house, it makes it even more unlikely, IMO.

There could be a very innocent possibility here. It could have been simply to keep the direct sunlight from coming in the window to help with keeping the area cool in the summer time.

Absolutely - a simple and economical way to keep cool. (We have urban properties and always do a one-way mirrored glass on the ground-level units to give tenants privacy). The film is inexpensive, relatively easy to apply, and sold by the roll on Amazon. JMO.
